Comfortable shoes to cruise around town in, however the tread structure of the shoe grabs loose gravel in my driveway before I ever go for a hike. With this shoe, I find a lot of random rocks inside my house, my car and on my sidewalk after packing my car.Hiking in these shoe isn’t bad/or great. Twigs and rocks get stuck in the tread which probably affects the way the shoe is suppose to flex.So for those reasons, these shoes are more about fashion and less about overall function.Overall, these shoes seem to be better suited for a hike around your neighborhood with, perhaps a few dirt trails and less about seeking out to hiking the Pacific Crest Trail.

I have really been enjoying this shoe. I've read and watched some mixed reviews about ON Running shoes, but in my experience, it's been a very enjoyable shoe to use with some limitations.I think this is an excellent choice for tempo runs or speed days. I'd say it's ideal for shorter distances, I used it for a half marathon and although quick, my legs were pretty dead by the end of it.It's firm, snappy and quite responsive. The cons-The tread is bold and interesting looking, but it is a magnet for stones and mud, limiting its use to the track, treadmill, or side walks. As far as durability...so far so good, but I doubt this one will be super durable which is fine for a lighter shoe.

These shoes were quite comfortable at first, but that didn’t last long. I run in them, you see, because they are runnings shoes. In less than six months, with about 150 miles on them (tracked by GPS) the soles have completely flattened out. No more of that nifty little air cushion. I can feel every rock, which also usually gets stuck in one of those weird ripples on the bottom. I think this design is a fad with no practical use for actual running. I’m going back to New Balance.

Great shoe
10 June 2022

Although I have purchased several pairs of ON running shoes for my daughter, this is the first pair of ON shoes I have purchased for my husband. Shoes look great, fit great, and are very comfy. My husband is 68 with diabetic neuropathy in his feet. We do not run or participate in a lot of hard-core exercise activities. However, we do walk a lot and a good fit is essential to him. I definitely recommend. \

Love these On Clouds
8 September 2022

Favorite shoes so far...by far. I have wider feet and got the W. - 2nd pair I've owned. I thought they may have been discontinued but Holabird took care of me. Fast shipping...Perfect shoe for me. My experience went so well, I bought my wife a pair of On Clouds from Holabird a few weeks later....same great experience with her. Happy customers.

NICE SHOE FROM THE CLOUDS
17 January 2023

ON uses the Cloud prefix with all their items except the Roger. You have to buy this ON and I think others a 1/2 size larger. It is a great walking shoe. I wouldn't take in on a hiking trail, though You need more support on woodsy walks. It's stylish. I have 3 different pairs and I'm happy. The while soul look is all over the place. What's not to like?

Nice shoe in so many ways, but one big flaw
28 April 2022

This was my first experience with On Shoes. I like so many things about this shoe including quality of construction, light weight, and innovative features. But in the end, it's a road running shoe, and the one thing it is missing is any sort of cushion under the balls of the feat. I wore these shoes once before I returned them. Granted, I was walking, not running. But on a standard 2 mile loop I normally do with my dogs, I returned home with extremely sore balls of the feet. I often do this same loop in a pair of Chaco flip-flops that have zero cushioning, only a hard rubber sole and when I return home my feet feel great. If this pair of running shoes has less cushioning than a pair of hard soled flip-flops, they aren't going to work for me, so I returned them. To ... MoreThis was my first experience with On Shoes. If this pair of running shoes has less cushioning than a pair of hard soled flip-flops, they aren't going to work for me, so I returned them. To be honest, flip flops have the advantage of allowing the foot work the way it was designed and absorb the shock using the arch, metatarsals and musculature. (But no, I can't do the barefoot running thing, I need shoes for running) When you confine your feet into a restrictive shoe, your feet rely more on the engineering of the shoe. When restricted this way, my running shoes need more cushioning. To be fair, I am 6'4" and over 200lbs. For someone with less weight to move around, these shoes may have enough cushioning.

Not comfortable: inner stitching protrudes
4 August 2021

These shoes look great and the cushioning and support are really spot on, but there is inner stitching near the bottom of the laces that just rubs and irritates the top of my foot. The stitches irritates me just sitting down and not even walking with them. I placed my hand inside the shoe and you can feel the threads they used to stitch the seam there just below the laces. It's very rough and rubs. Why they decided to put stitching there is a mystery and even worse the stitching itself feels like fine sandpaper.

Probably what I've been looking for my piriformis!
27 June 2022

I've been having a bad piriformis pain for more than a year, so I've been looking for a shoes that would make me hurt a little less. I believe shoes may have an impact, more or less, on my piriformis conditions. The first feeling of Cloudflow is something new and not the kind of comfiness that I'm acquainted with, but I think I would give it a try as other soft comfy shoes couldn't help me at all. Only the first whole day that I wore Cloudflow, the pain was gone. I was surprise and been wearing it until this day, it really alleviates my piriformis pain!

Truly excellent running/traveling shoes
20 November 2021

I have to admit that I haven’t had these shoes for a very long time yet but I’d still do have some useful observations. The shoes break and almost instantly and are extremely comfortable. I will use them for running and for a walking cross training and they feel perfect for all of the above. The shoes are stylish enough for use in a variety of places which is handy for travel. The comfort of the shoes is incredible. Tom’s as a brand have been my favorite shoes for walking around town and these may replace them. I personally hope this will push brands like NewBalance to make shoes that are more stylish active wear.
