Before purchasing , I made sure to do my research. One day at my gym, I saw a couple wearing cloud monsters. I asked how they liked them and they went on saying that they love them and own several pairs. Not just for running but also for work too. After that day, I bought them and do not regret my decision. I used to loathe running on the treadmill but now I love it, thanks to these. I’m pretty heavy set and I worried about running again because of the impact it will have on my knees and ankles. But with the right shoe, I don’t have to worry anymore

Holy smokes this is such a comfy shoe! It really reminds me of my first pair of Hokas but they don’t look as large and clown-like. I ordered them online and wasn’t sure what to expect but these are going to make getting back into running much easier. My only disappointment is that they seem to runs just slightly smaller than other ON shoes. I tried serval pair on in the store in my normal size 8. Each version fit true to size. They did not have this style in store and they definitely run a smidge smaller. I haven’t run in them yet so I’m not sure if I’ll need to exchange for a half size up or not but my big toe was right at the top of the shoe.

Talking about a beautifully crafted comfortable running shoe! I absolutely am sold for life! These are the BEST shoes I’ve owned from this brand. I have the cloud flyers (bought several) and those don’t even compare to the comfort I experience with these shoes. I was hesitant because they are $170 but worth every penny! Your legs, ankles and feet will thank you later. I ordered half size bigger and they are perfect. Already about to buy a second pair because the colors are awesome.

TLDR: Size up half a size. Comfort and cushioning on long runs. Might have to be careful of front rocker if walking. Objectively a good color combo (Nimbus)So I bought my first pair of On Cloud shoes over a year ago based on the cuteness of the color combination, but always lamented that I couldn't do runs longer than 5 or 6 miles on those before my healed cuboid stress fracture from over 10 years ago complains a bit. So those got relegated to gym and general workout shoes.Enter the Cloudmonster, which takes the term maximal cushioning very seriously. Once again, I had to size up half a size (7.5 to an 8). The cushioning rivaled the Hokas but these were much more bouncy which was a pleasant surprise. Walking around, the front rocker was very noticeable (careful ... MoreTLDR: Size up half a size. The cushioning rivaled the Hokas but these were much more bouncy which was a pleasant surprise. Walking around, the front rocker was very noticeable (careful descending stairs), but I understood this might actually be a good thing for turnovers on long runs for me.I took these out for an 11 mile run and they had all the cushioning I wanted, but they were also very comfortable and bouncy (in a good way). I noticed with my Hokas (and nearly every pair of road running shoes i had) that i had to retie my right shoe multiple times during the run to try to alleviate discomfort on my right foot (which is wider due to a mild bunion). With the Cloudmoster, I just tightened them to some reasonable tightness when I left the house and they were good to go for 11 miles of asphalt and very well-maintained manufacturered trails (not real trails, these are not trail shoes). The main reason I ditched my Hokas for this season was because I enjoyed the comfort of my Altra Lone Peak 5 with its wide toebox, but I didn't want to ruin good trail shoes by running them on the road regularly. These somehow gave me thr comfort of a wider toe box without specifically being wider build or requiring me to loosen them as I went along. Whatever that top material is, good job.I didn't notice the more aggressive front rocker at all during the run, but I did notice I tripped zero times during the run when I start lifting my foot less and less to conserve energy. So the kinda sus rocker for walking made sense for running. There was zero break in for these. I took them out on one workout in an exercise class and then threw them on for my long run. I like that I didn't have to worry or think about them at all, except for the cute design or how big of a hole these left in my wallet. But the extra 20-50 dollars I'm spending on these than other similar shoes was worth every penny bases on all the quality of run improvements.
This is my fourth pair of Ons, second pair I’ve bought for running, and first pair of Cloudmonsters. I ordered these online without trying on this particular shoe and I found these to be very true to size. I just started running again for the first time in a couple years and was able to run a solid 6 miles in these right out of the box. Have put about 25 miles on them so far, super comfortable and I love that they are allowing me to dive right back into running. It has been awhile since I’ve had my gait analyzed but I would say I’m a pretty neutral pronator, maybe a little lean to over-pronation if anything. If you don’t have any special fit needs you really can’t go wrong with these. I’m so excited to see where these take me in my running practice and am so glad I ... MoreThis is my fourth pair of Ons, second pair I’ve bought for running, and first pair of Cloudmonsters. I’ve had this shoe around three months now. It is the most comfortable shoe ever! My ankles tend to roll in and this shoe helps with that. They have also helped my posture! The only negative is I haven’t heavily worn them and after three months the tread is almost worn off and the rubber part at the top of the left shoe is peaking back. I’ll have to get some show glue for that. I expected a more durable show for the price but the comfort is there which is nice!
I usually don't write reviews, but these shoes deserve the praise! After reading other reviews, I decided to give them a try even though I honestly have not had great luck with on shoes. It was truly love at first walk! The shoes are super light and give a nice boost. I originally wore them strictly for work to break them in - I worked 16hr days on my feet and had no pain. Running in them is even better. So far I've only used them for short distance (3-4 mi), but love them so much I want both colors! Of note: I have high arches, so I added my own insoles. I wear a 7 in everyday shoes, and ordered an 8 in these.
I love the look of these and the fact that they're lightweight and a bit more narrow than Hoka, Nike, NB, as i have a slightly narrow, but very long foot @ size 9.5. My friends call me sneakerchica bc I buy so many pairs of sneakers. Unfortunately, the back outer portion of the sole rubs against my outer ankle (specifically distal fibula). This is because they are cut higher in this area than most other sneakers. If you have any type of ankle injury and/or prefer your sneakers to be cut regular/ slightly below the outer/distal ankle, I would not purchase these. They will rub against your ankle and may cause irritation or swelling. I also found that they did not have as much support on the back inside sole as many of my other sneakers do (and other reviews ... MoreI love the look of these and the fact that they're lightweight and a bit more narrow than Hoka, Nike, NB, as i have a slightly narrow, but very long foot @ size 9.5. I loved the look and would've taken pictures, but I've already returned them. They were simply too high & rubbed against my ankle. Very odd that they cover your outer ankle.
I've decided to no longer purchase designer sneakers. They look cool/great but provide no real foot support especially when walking long distances. It was hard to find kicks that actually support bad knees or back and didn't have dated, lame ortho looking designs. These seem to fit the bill. Surprised at how much i felt the difference walking in these almost instantly. Yeah they are pretty much close to designer price but, for me now.....they are worth it. Hope they introduce more modern designs. Oh and if this helps the glacier/meadow is more of a mint green. NOT greyish like it looks online. I ordered my regular size. With my thicker no show sock it still feels normal so for me it's true to size.
I have been looking for a shoe that protects my knees yet does not look like I am wearing shoes that's main goal is to protect my knees and joints. I went to the Anniversary sale thinking I would buy one pair if they worked even if I looked like I bought a shoe that is overdone in the cushioning department Well they do work, are actually very functional and very fun looking and do not look like their main goal is to cushion those joints. Not a shoe that is over done where you are lacking stability and support like some memory foam shoes. These are so nice. I wore a skort and they actually did not look bad with it. I know I can walk the 3 miles I like to walk each day. If you are a runner and have any joint issues these will work for you . I liken this shoe to some of the Hoka brands but with a bit more style flair. My best guess is that these will sell out quickly as they get great reviews from running sites. Ok, I bought more than one pair as I really like feet and knees that don't ache.
