Most of the materials in these shoes began to deteriorate after only a few days of light walking on level sand and paved paths. I didn't even have the chance to do trail running in them. One would assume that "Swiss Engineered" meant high quality, but this is certainly not the case. These are the second pair of On Clouds I bought. The others also deteriorated within a couple of weeks. I was hoping it was a one off, but it was not. Very disappointed.

Bought these in person in store off of a recommendation from an employee. They felt great and the employee raved about them. Really wanted to like them, but the quality isn't there. Only been to the trail twice in these and the top is already tearing apart. My other cheap pair of trail shoes lasted me over a year and a half with heavy use. Don't think they will last. Hopefully it's just my pair and not all of them.

These shoes were great for the first month. I do some light running and wear them to work some as I’m on my feet throughout the day. After a month they lost a lot of their support and the inside lining was disintegrating. I continued to wear them and telling myself it was ok but they just really start to fail me. 6 months in and the shoes feel completely dead and the toe box on one has fallen apart completely. My wife got Ultras the same day I bought these and she runs a lot more than I do and her shoes still look new and are in great shape. Bummed that $140 shoe didn’t last hold up.

I purchased a pair of Cloudvista shoes on 3-25-22, and was hoping they would serve as my trail running shoe. After putting about 30 miles on them running on a treadmill, last week I decided to use them for a road/trail run. When I completed the run, the white shoes had some mud spray that was on the exterior of the shoe. However, after several attempts to clean the shoes, I am unable to do get them clean. With the cost being what it is and the shoes being advertised as trail shoes, I would have thought this would not be an issue. It's unfortunate, the quality is lacking particularly because I like the color scheme of the shoe.If you're wearing them inside and not on the trail - Get them. Bought this shoe for kicking around Denver metro and Colorado over the summer. Within two weeks the fabric around the front of the entry was frayed on both sides. I've never seen a shoe wear in that location before. The shoe was not that comfortable and the fabric micro-fine mesh upper would trap dirt inside of it that was impossible to remove or wash out. After about a month it had collected dirt and debris that could not be removed. Overall, very unhappy with the On shoe's. This was my first try with the brand. Won't be buying again.
I bought these shoes because I wanted something I could go hiking with but I also needed running shoes at the time. These were a perfect fit for me. I typically walk 4-7 miles a day and I've taken them on the trail a few times. They do not make my feet hurt at all! Yes, they do get dirty, but I haven't had any of the issues in other reviews. I have had this pair for 4 months and I don't have any complaints.
I've been a loyal fan of ON for many years, and I am so glad they finally came out with one in muted colors. These have significantly more cushioning compared to the Cloud X and Cloud Flow. I've only used these for casual daily wear since the MIDNIGHT/OLIVE color goes with pretty much everything; I also prefer wide-toe box trail running shoes. I have not experienced any deteriorating fabric issues mentioned in other reviews. Still, that issue could be related to an individual's walking/running mechanics. ORDER A HALF SIZE UP. I am a 9.5 in every pair of ON's I own except this one.
This is the quickest I've ever decided to return a pair of shoes. Within just a week of wear, these shoes have developed a terrible squeak each step I take. Embarrassing for me, and disgraceful for this company to be selling such a low quality show for this price. I feel scammed. I ignored the other negative reviews (silly me), when I should have trusted other peoples' bad experiences. Don't make the same mistake I did... look at other options. I am very thankful for REI's return policy, but it would be better if they didn't sell junk like this in the first place.
I've had these shoes for three months, and with little to moderate wear, the fabric on the inside of the right heel tore. Wearing them now causes a blister, so they've been shelved. With that said, I reached out to their warranty department, and they did give me a credit for the value of a new pair- so kudos to them for great customer service. I just really wish that the shoe was made better, as I really love them.
Different feet, different reviews. I walk about about six miles per day. From REI, I’ve purchased three brands: Brooks, Solomon and Cloudvista. Brooks gets a one star; lack of quality. Solomon fit best; I did not need to buy an insert arch support. Cloudvista fit my feet just fine. However, I needed to buy an insert (Super Feet) to keep my heel positioned. That was the only reason I gave the Cloudvista four stars.
