Comfortable shoe but very poor quality. After a few months of use the waterproof membrane is pulling away from the shoe in several spots, the lace holder ripped out on the bottom lace and the heels padding is developing holes. I don't even run in these shoes. I only walk. I'm very disappointed in the quality for the cost of the shoe.

The Cloudwander is a comfortable shoe; I'll give it that. Unfortunately, however, I only had 2 runs in these before I noticed the inside liners separating from the body of the shoes near the toe box. This has caused an unwelcomed distraction while running due to having bunched up fabric hanging around the toe area. I'll be returning the pair this week. First pair of On shoes I've used and sadly it'll be the last. Beautiful design; terrible quality.

Just bought and received these Cloudwander hiking shoes in glacier eclipse color 3 days ago. They are a great looking shoe and have already received compliments on the look. As far the fit I did order a half size up as recommended which did result in the length being good but I do find the width a bit narrow so if you do have slightly wider feet I would recommend ordering a wider width if available. They are reasonably comfortable but I expected much better from such an expensive shoe and one that is branded "on cloud". There's an acceptable amount of padding in the toe area but I find the heal area to be quite hard. The heal area feels much more like a work boot than a sneaker or hiking shoe. Maybe they'll break in eventually and get more comfortable but as for now ... MoreJust bought and received these Cloudwander hiking shoes in glacier eclipse color 3 days ago. Bought these for fall rainy days as well as early winter days for my long walks. Right after starting to wear them I noticed discomfort in the right foot. The material feels very stiff right under the laces, and creates lots of pressure. I tried to loosen up the laces, but same result. I even contacted On Running, but they didn't help; they will honour manufacturing defects, but not sure if they are still to acknowledge this as a manufacturing defect.
I've worn a men's 12 in every sneaker, trail shoe, running shoe, tennis shoe etc. for the past 20 years. I had to return these and get 13's which work for me and give a little extra room for thicker socks on cold days. It's a shame that 12.5's are not generally offered. Balanced cusion and support, earthy non-gaudy colorway are certainly appreciated. Excellent shoes!
I agree, the slots that run lengthwise of the shoe pick up at least one rock whenever I walk in gravel or rocky area. It is the first shoe where I’ve ever had to stop and do that. Also, the waterproof material feels more ‘plasticy’ in comparison to the regular. They have a different look. I’m not a big fan of what they’ve done with the waterproof lines.
The shoes are extremely comfortable and the waterproof part is great. After 2 months of wearing everyday the inside of heals are completely worn out to the point where they have been too sore on the heals to wear. I have never have this happen with any other Nike or Adidas shoes I have ever owned. Besides that great look and great comfort. Just wish they would last longer.
This shoe picks up ALOT of rocks. Some you know and others you dont until you walk on your hard wood flooring. I dont like stopping to pick a rock out of the sole of my shoe every five minutes. I did not think these are as comfortable compared to other styles i have owned. They are more stiff. I wish I would’ve never bought them.
I bought these shoes for a trip to Arizona and they did not disappoint. They are light weight and very supportive. The soles are very sticky on the rocks. I’m very happy with the purchase. I did purchase a half size larger than I normally wear. I also purchased a pair for my wife for the same trip and she is very happy also. I purchased a half size larger for her also.
These On hiking shoes are very lightweight, like other Ons, but the sole is very stiff...which is great for hiking. I was afraid they might be too narrow for my wide feet, but the upper/toe box is roomier than I thought it might be. I took these for a good, rugged hike in the heat, and they performed well, didn't really feel too hot. I haven't checked their waterproofness, but I expect it's good. P.S. Sizing for me is the same as I wear in Adidas
