I had the original Cloudmonster and loved them. For anything from long runs to speed work, these shoes have held up well. Moving on to the second iteration, the Cloudmonster 2's, I was happy to see they added even MORE cushioning. I love max cushioned shoes for my long runs. I'm a heavier-than-average runner, so the cushioning really helps with ankle and knee fatigue during long runs. The rocker profile helps with speedier transitions as well. The fit of the shoe is very similar to the original, though I think it's slightly roomier both in overall length and width. I wear a size 11.5 across the board and that's what I ordered here. I've only done a few runs in them so far so I'll have to come back and comment on the durability, but if they hold up as well as the ... MoreI had the original Cloudmonster and loved them. These are great, and super lightweight and comfortable out of the box! I've added my review here as these are the same for men or women :) (the sizing is based on the gender on the title). They even performed great on the trail. Also that white and orange color scheme looks absolutely fire, and I love the polka dotted shoelaces!I'm not usually into maximally cushioned shoes, but I honestly really liked these. They are super light, but have tons of support too as another Gearhead mentioned - a nice stiff sole with a cushy footbed. They were even supportive enough for my feet and ankles to hit the trail. Not rock plate needed with that thick cushioned, protective sole! The cubed sole you'll see on nearly all of their shoes is made of a special firm EVA (On Cloud calls it the Zero Gravity foam) with an open air pocket in the middle of the midsole and hollowed out cubes that are cut down the line of the shoe, which adds flexibility than most typical shoe soles. For my couple hour run, I encountered some snow and mud and rocks. My feet never got too hot. These Monsters ventilate and breathe super well, which is important for me. They are also very responsive, so I was able to be precise on the trail. Also great for just strolling around the neighborhood. Did I mention how fire they look? I mean, just check out the pics! Also run true to size for my size 10 foot.

At first, I was skeptical of these shoes, due to the mixed reviews. I was skeptical on their insoles and how they had holes in them, however, these shoes really impressed me. I run 25-30 miles per week, and these shoes hold up great. I run on trails, and roads alike, and these shoes excel at both of them. I’m able to do easy runs in them and hard runs alike. They are really nicely cushioned, making it a great option for long walks and runs. My only complaint is that the initially were kind of uncomfortable initially, but if you put a good pair of insoles in them, they will work miracles. They also run a little large, and that price tag can make you want to steer clear. But overall, this is the best shoe I have ever owned, and is definitely worth it.

I know a lot of people who love the On shoes, especially the clouds. I was wearing a Fresh Foam 1080 prior to going to these cloud monsters and the Fresh Foams were an actually a little better. The Cloud Monsters have zero water protection, I've had water shoes that keep out more water than these. I walked through some wet grass and my feet were soaked in minutes. The fit is a bit roomy but the cushion just isn't as good as my fresh foams, couples with being 30% more expensive means they just don't cut it compared to the competition.
These are by far the most comfortable shoe I’ve worn. Their fit though isn’t quite right for me. I have to purchase men’s shoes for the width not only in the sole but also the upper, which means they’re slightly too big but the women’s equivalent was very very small and hurt my feet, debilitating me.An issue I have is they squeak when walking. I can’t hear it unless I’m at home on tiles but it’s still annoying. In saying that, so comfortable and supportive for me. I’d buy them again.
This is an excellent neutral and cushioning runner. The midsole cushioning is fantastic and feels a bit more spring or cushions than the previous Cloudmonster. With the new advice on size measurements I was able to choose the correct size that fit true to size. I recommend using it to gauge your correct size. I like the runner, my only request would be an all black version like the first Cloudmonster, otherwise technically this is a comfortable excellent neutral and cushioning runner for long and short road runs and walks.
I came from a long history of Brooks Ghost and these were quite a change but overall I love them. They do not have a lot of lateral support and the side fabric is thin but has held up well. I love the internal spring plate and did notice a slight increase in my pace especially when landing mid to front foot. Over all the support and roll these offer are fantastic. I have run roughly 400 miles in these over the last 6 months including a max of 5 mile stints. I started noticing support wear out around 300 miles in.
Right out of the box this shoe felt amazing in terms of fit and cushion. I normally wear 11.5 and this shoe fit fantastic. The toe box is on the wider side in my opinion. The upper was a super breathable and comfy material. One issue I ran into though is with the wider toe box and upper material, it is a little difficult to really lock down those lower laces. I was able to look past this issue though, but feel like should be noted for anyone with narrower feet. I was also a big fan of the rockered geometry of the shoe. It really wants you to move forward and get up on the midfoot/toes.#BackcountryGearhead
My particular situation ... came in with injuries and required special inserts. These shoes were roomy and perfect for that. I love the firmness of this shoe; it really allowed me to get a "feel" of the road in a good way. If you have narrow feet, this is not the shoe for you. In addition, if you like to bounce on your shoes, not the right choice. Don't go by the low rating, someone's 2-star review may be 4 or 5 for you. I strongly recommend trying these shoes if you like to dig in running, need extra space but are not a wide shoe candidate, and do not like the cartoonish bouncy shoes.
Your retailer might not be aware of it, but if you buy these shoes, SIZE DOWN from your true size. This is what is suggested on the company website. I did my normal running shoe size and it was very clear that these were much too big, which is consistent with other reviews I've read about this shoe. I would also agree with other reviews I've seen that the shoes are not very soft and feel a bit hard rather. Allegedly people who are heavier have an easier time collapsing the air-pods and find these shoes quite comfortable and bouncy. For reference, I am 147 lbs, and did not have this experience.Overall, it's possible the shoe may be better under the right sizing, but the simple fact is that there's better, softer shoes for cheaper.
