I bought this music stand a few weeks ago. It is very sturdy, like professional orchestra stands, yet weighs much less. It is sturdy enough to hold a laptop or tablet. Easy to assemble and adjust. The folding legs make it portable. It is a bit bulky to carry and does not fold up as small as other portable stands. However after using portable stands that easily fall over, I'm willing to take the trade-off. A great value for the price.

Excellent music stand.

Sturdy. Very well constructed. I think it will last for many years. Another great product from ON-STAGE. And, as always, great customer service from the whole Sweetwater team with fast shipping.

Great price for a sturdy stand

Stand is very solid and appears well built. I chose this stand for the height range 26” and up. I se the stand to hold recording equipment / iPad etc next to a drum kit. This stand would definitely have no problem supporting sheet music or books . I am very happy with this purchase.

Great quality for the price.

Better quality than I expected after reading other reviews. I bought this to hold my laptop in the kitchen to read web recipes when counter space would be tight. It's PERFECT for that! The (3) legs are adjustable so it can stand on a very small footprint if need be. It handles my full size laptop easily, so a few sheets of music would be a piece of cake. I trust it to hold my laptop...

My music stand was a taco.

When I made it home with my new music stand I was excited to use it so I can learn to read guitar tab and when I opened the box I found the bottom part that supports the sheets was bent like a taco. I could have made the trip back to Sam Ash but I thought about "why" I bought it and decided right there to just de-taco it with my hands and pliers and now my new stand is great again and I'm learning now. The staff there treats me right and I will keep coming back for my music needs and get my tacos at the taqueria..Thank you Sam Ash,A happy customer!

Not tall enough, metal rivets in tray make writing notes difficult

The "OnStage Conductor" stand will probably work if you sit while playing or standing if your height is less than 5'-8". I'm 6'-3" and this stand (at max extension) barely makes it to my chest, so I have to look down quite a bit (while standing playing guitar). When fully extended, the bottom of the tray is at 3'-8". With a slight tilt in the tray, the center of my sheet music is at 4'. I need something with about 8 more inches.It's called a "conductor" stand, but I would think it's lack of height makes it a poor choice for that application. Usually the conductor stands on a riser so that he/she can be easily seen. The stand stays on the floor. If our conductor at church were to use this stand, the sheet music would be down at his waist. And again, the inability to easily raise and lower it is a negative in the "conductor" application.I'll be looking for something new that is taller and has a clean, flat tray (no rivets).It uses screw knobs, so it's not great if you like to lower the tray after playing. For example, in a church setting, you might stand to play your instrument, but then during the sermon you may want to lower the tray so that you see the speaker (or so people in back of you can see). Also, if you go from a lowered position and then raise it during your performance, there is nothing to stop the upper shaft from coming completely out of the lower shaft, so now the top portion is wobbling in your hand and all of you sheet music falls to the floor (hasn't happened to me, but I could see it happening).Seems study enough. It uses metal tubes and then plastic at all of the joints. The braces for the bottom tripod seem to function well. The scew knobs seem to keep everything in place (though I'm using this for a practice area, so it doesn't get taken down and moved at all).There are four rivets in the middle of the tray. They are very annoying if you are trying to write notes on your sheet music (if you only have less than 3 layers of paper).

Sometimes you just need something that doesn't make noise.

Great product hands down. I visit this store once a week.They gave me a great price, and price matched it on their own without asking. Never Finn buying something that doesn't make noise, but is very useful in the studio. Great job guy's. See you soon.

Stable and wide enough to work with open music books.

Very happy with the stability of this stand. I currently have multiple pieces of sheet music and some music books that are part of my practice routine. Together with the music stand light that I bought, it gives me more flexibility in where I can stand as I practice knowing that my music is at a good height and well-lit so it's easy to see. I can also confidently turn pages without worrying about the stand falling over.

The most durable stand, please buy it!!

I love this stand because you are able to place and iPad or a heavy music binder without worrying about if it will bend or tilt. It's a very durable quality stand. The best this is that is a trifold and you are able to take it apart easily.

Very sturdy and excellent value!

Wanted something sturdier than the thin, collapsible music stands available in-store and elsewhere. Spotted this one and it's excellent reviews and price. Ordered it and it was worth the wait! Easy to put together and sturdy enough to hold my tablet when practicing guitar, as well as my phone, cables, picks, etc. I even use it to hold my computer when it's attached to my Mustang amp. Just be careful when adjusting the angle. It's got a permanent place in my practice space. Wholeheartedly recommended for someone looking for something sturdier than the run of the mill thin collapsible music stands, or anyone else for that matter.
