It has no problem handling anything I throw at it and did I forget to mention not only does the battery charge really quick but the battery lasts me 2 days with frequent use.

One of the best midrange flagships I've used in a while where I don't feel I've settled. Has the normal everyday specs that most people ask for. Flagship processor, decent cameras, my usage almost 2 day battery life, supervocc fast charging, aquatouch has been helpful with the rain and wet fingers, and keeps up with everyday task. This OnePlus 12R is much better than my last phone. It does NOT come with as many unnecessary apps already installed on it that I've had with my old Samsung Galaxy S21+. It is faster, has much better picture quality, the screen is shaper with more clarity, and the speaker does not have the crackle and hiss in it.I recommend this phone to all. I needed to upgrade my old phone, and this is the only one I could find that didn't have the ridiculous amount of pre-installed apps that are on all of the Samsungs, Google Pixels, and Apple's I looked at.The battery life on this phone is fantastic. It holds a charge for 2 days, and it gets used. I have to use it for work. I play games on it and I surf the Internet in it. So much better than my old Samsung.

I did research and did not find how that could be changed. I also wish it had the option to add an SD card, but it seems only a few phone brands/models do. We’ll see how quickly I use up the 256 GB storage. My OnePlus 6 with 128 GB was a challenge during its last year of use as I had run out of storage and was constantly getting messages about it and restricted in how I used it. I really enjoyed my OnePlus 6 (until the last year or so), and hope to do the same with the OnePlus 12R. If it continues to perform as it has thus far, I would definitely buy it again. There is a plethora of video reviews of the 12 and 12R on the internet that include comparisons with similar phones, which helped me to make my decision. I rated the display quality 4 stars because of quickly fading and the camera a 4 also because there is better out there.

The body is aluminum, front is Victus 2 glass, and the back is Gorilla Glass 5. No cheap mid-range plastic parts here. This phones' build is excellent.As far as the camera(s), well the main 50MP is great, in fact it's the same sensor that's used in the non-R OnePlus 11 5G. the 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro cameras are a "meh".Another plus is it has a pre-installed screen protector, saving me from having to order one online. Too bad BestBuy doesn't sell cases for this phone because I no choice but to wait for the one to ship from Amazon.And one last thing: BestBuy is giving out $100 gift cards withe purchase of this phone, So I actually only spent $499 on the 256/16GB model. This should be awarded phone of the year.So if you're looking for an amazing $500 flagship (killer) or want to step out of iPhones' sandbox of an operating system, this should be your first choice. Do not buy this phone. Go to reddit or OnePlus forums and see for yourself. All Google apps lag. Especially chrome and YouTube. OnePlus software limits how much processing power is given to specific apps. 4 years ago they were "in trouble" for doing this. Apparently they're back at it again and worse than ever. People write great reviews here, use the phone and find out the problem and aren't allowed to leave a new review or edit a previous review. There is no solution to the problem. All Google apps lag. Especially chrome and YouTube. OnePlus software limits how much processing power is given to specific apps. 4 years ago they were "in trouble" for doing this. Apparently they're back at it again and worse than ever. People write great reviews here, use the phone and find out the problem and aren't allowed to leave a new review or edit a previous review. I wanted this phone because reviews online were great, specs were great, price was right. Again, if you're gonna throttle Google apps on an Android phone, it's basically useless.
