First things first ⌠this skateboard comes together in 2 seconds. 0 tools required to put together. I love that for the parents . Now for the kids, my son is 20 months and is obsessed with this. The skateboard is built extremely sturdy and with the handle my son was able to get the hang of this very quickly. It also went over little cranks and dips very very well, steering it is a piece of cake and this is definitely something that will with stand many years and alot of use. Couldnât be happier!

I bought the Ookie for my 2 year old grandson afer watching internet videos of little kids shredding. We have a skatepark nearby and he would always ohh and ahh at the kids skating. I looked up toddler training skateboards and found Ookie.I wanted it for Christmas 2021, but they were on back order. I put my name on a list to be notified when they were in stock, and it finally came through in January, so great service there! I ordered it right away with a full set of small pads and a helmet; the order came fast and correct. The products are super high quality and worth every penny. We suited up and went to the skatepark the first day and he loved it! It is amazing how children so small adapt so easily to balancing on the Ookie. At first he was a little intimidated, so I let him approach riding it at his own pace. We started with just riding around on flat ground, watching kids on the ramps. Eventually we would drop in on small inclines. After 5 months of riding we are dropping in on some seriously large ramps. We are still using the parent and child handles, but on flat ground I let go without him knowing and he totally balances himself. It won't be long before he drops the kid handle, in fact he sometimes lets go without realizing it.Whoever invented this is a genius!Buy one! Buy pads with it, if your kid gets hurt when they fall the gig is up. Don't force it, let them approach it at their own pace and they will be begging you to go skating. In fact we are going now. Thanks Ookie!

I was so excited for the Ookkie Skateboard and it didnât disappointed. First of all let me start by telling you I wasnât looking for a gift for my son, it popped into my instagram and I was stunned by seeing kids such young age on a skateboard. I did some research online and I didnât find anything comparable to the Ookkie, I usually like to compare products to make sure I am buying the best product there is on the market. Well here it is! Every detail has been thought, from the kidâs handle its position, the angle made, the retractable handle for the parents. Itâs also an adaptative board so it will grow with my son until he gets confortable enough to have a regular skateboard and where I wonât have to worry he will get injured because he will know how to ride it. ... MoreI was so excited for the Ookkie Skateboard and it didnât disappointed. Not only this is a great gift but it helps him with his balance which he struggled with since he learned to walk. Finally, (I know itâs a long review but you can tell how happy I am with the Ookkie hehe) I bought my son his first snowboard last year when he was one years old, thinking we might be able to start this coming winter when he will be two (I started to ski at 2 also) and as I was told by everyone around me that this was a bad idea and that snowboard at such a young age represent more risk than skis, I am definitely convince the Ookkie will give him all the tools to shreds the mountains this coming winter. If I didnât convince you to buy it⌠maybe a picture and video will (by the way the video represent his 3rd time using it) ;)

When Larry Stevenson invented the âkicktailâ, most everyone would have assumed that the skateboarding community had just re-imagined itself, as such that the sport is still benefitting from said invention.Today, I put together a bright volty green skateboard that included an inventive board with four wheels, a directional nose shape, and a brilliantly designed âkicktailâ. A long grip equipped t-shaped handle bar that came up to my waist (5â 10â) needed the grips to be equipped on each side of the bar, so I used a little bike lube to help slide them on. Once the grips were equipped, I mounted the smaller handle to the shaft of the t-bar. My child is only 9 months old, so I had to hug the base a bit. Everything fit snug and secure. Once the grips were equipped, I mounted the smaller handle to the shaft of the t-bar. My child is only 9 months old, so I had to hug the base a bit. Everything fit snug and secure. Once I gave the board a few scientifically motivated side-to-side wiggles, this justifying the obvious strength of this amazing contraption, did I then meet my wife and daughter on the front lawn. And then the magic happened.Minda road the bright green board on the light green grass glammering and yammering on with glee. And once I was able to get my wife, Minda, off the board, I could get my baby Lucy up there. Not shockingly, but ever just as awesome, my daughter is much like her mother. Flying around singing the Batman theme song as loud as we could. A perfect day. With skateboarding becoming an Olympic sport, and with TikTok inspiring the youth to do all the things for an epic video, I just want to thank you for giving my daughter a head start. With your help, she just might compete for a gold one day.Well done.
Our little guy is 3 and kept trying to ride our older boys' skateboards so I went online to see what options there were for him and this popped up. I'm so glad we decided to purchase this!! He's obsessed and I love that there's an adult handle to help them in the event he becomes nervous we put it on and when he wants to do it on his own we take it off. He's already going down ramps by himself and he loves it. Yes we bought the pads and helmet as well and it was worth it! Everything was packaged nicely as well.
At 2 years old, my son's answer to everyone's Christmas question was consistent. He wanted a skateboard. The response he got was equally consistent. Laughs. Having never been into skateboarding myself, I googled "toddler skateboard" and was so happy to find that the Ookkie had been invented. It was the perfect solution. My son had loved it. He's very cautious, so a regular skateboard would have just scared him away for good. But the Ookkie had just the right amount of parental assisstance. He's now 4, and I'm about to remove the parent bar, leaving just the grab handle for him to begin working at it on his own. When he's on it, I encourage him by mentioning how hard he's working on his balance. It's been a major win. My only complaint is that it's difficult to fit ... MoreAt 2 years old, my son's answer to everyone's Christmas question was consistent. He wanted a skateboard. My only complaint is that it's difficult to fit in the car - definitely not impossible, just difficult. I wish the parent bar was able to be removed without needing a screwdriver. But soon that will go for good, and it'll be much easier to travel with.
Super excited to get it! Very disappointed that I know I read that a helmet & âsuppliesâ aka protective gear were not included. Write Ollie but havenât heard back. Our 5.75yo granddaughter does fairly ok on it although purchased for her lil 16mo brother mostly but he jumps off it after a quick second. Hopefully theyâll both use it to its capacity and mostly, hopefully it helps them learn to skateboard đš
Over priced for the quality. Poor quality plastic wheels. Poor quality plastic deck. The idea and rationale of this design is fine. Dont waste money on this poor quality product
Thereâs nothing better than getting outside and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine of the great outdoors with the whole family and there isnât a funner and more exciting way to adventure outside than on your very own Ookkie. We purchased our first ookkie three years ago to celebrate our fabulous firstborns first lap around the sun and havenât looked back. From the moment he first hopped on at 12 months old he loved jumping on his Ookkie and it became a clear favourite as we went for family walks along the boardwalk at our local beach and he quickly mastered the local skatepark.I love that it helped to instill a love of being active, outdoors and hanging out with family not to mention the skill acquisition it promoted as he developed his core strength and ... MoreThereâs nothing better than getting outside and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine of the great outdoors with the whole family and there isnât a funner and more exciting way to adventure outside than on your very own Ookkie. We purchased our first ookkie three years ago to celebrate our fabulous firstborns first lap around the sun and havenât looked back. From the moment he first hopped on at 12 months old he loved jumping on his Ookkie and it became a clear favourite as we went for family walks along the boardwalk at our local beach and he quickly mastered the local skatepark.I love that it helped to instill a love of being active, outdoors and hanging out with family not to mention the skill acquisition it promoted as he developed his core strength and balance.Cue little brother number two who had grown up into our Ookkie family. Little brother joined our Ookkie gang at 8 months old and quickly became the smallest shredder. Our first Ookkie is still going strong three years later and ready for the newest members of our tribe - 14 month old twin sisters, who just like their big brothers are going to have so much fun in our Ookkie family! And the best bit is their big brothers will be there for every stack, fall and smile! đ¤
Five stars since itâs the only product of its kind. If youâre looking for a starter or âlearningâ skateboard, this is your product. Itâs well done, well branded (though I remain curious where the name came from!) with inspiring content, and serves the functionality that it was designed for. Itâs clear much whiteboarding and prototyping went into the design. Love the colors choices too. A few minor things Iâd change â I usually toss the book that comes with these items, but in this rare case, I would have benefited from some deeper instruction with cute diagrams and advice for how to get littles started on it. Questions I had but are not limited to include â should I push or pull with adult handle, how should feet be positioned relative to childâs hand on handle, ... MoreFive stars since itâs the only product of its kind. Questions I had but are not limited to include â should I push or pull with adult handle, how should feet be positioned relative to childâs hand on handle, some advice for managing balance, and some teaching verbiage for the youngest children. I could even see Ookkie produce and sell a childrenâs picture book about a cute character learning how to board. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the joint where the adult handle connects to the Ookkie needs some design work for future version for safety purposes. When the adult handle is removed especially, and the board is used with the rider handle only, that black and metal joint sticks out a bit and is genuinely sharp to the point that if a child fell and someone landed on it, they could be seriously injured. We may pop a sock or something over it if we use it in this mode in the future, but that obviously disrupts the attractive design of the product. Iâd love to see Ookkie look closely at this. A simple and cheap workaround in the near term could be to sell a rubber or nylon+Velcro cover for that part (childrenâs bikes have this around the neck). Hats off for a wonderful, unique product though!
