Strymon presents the new BigSky MX, a next-generation reverb workstation that completely redefines what is possible with this effect. Enhancing an iconic product like the original BigSky, already recognized as a standard on the pedalboards of top musicians, was an ambitious challenge. However, Strymon dedicated four years of development to exceed expectations. The result is a wider, richer, and more expressive reverb, enhanced by a range of innovations that position it as the ultimate reverb. The BigSky MX integrates cutting-edge technologies and advanced features, packing incredible power into a single device. With an 800 MHz tri-core ARM processor, it can manage two reverb engines simultaneously, offering series, parallel, or split routing options, along with new panning controls. Of the 12 available reverb machines, seven are completely new, while the classic algorithms have been updated with both sonic and functional improvements. The new convolution engine allows for stereo impulse responses of up to ten seconds, with advanced IR editing capabilities. It includes 22 preloaded IRs, including custom captures of classic analog studio gear. Connectivity is comprehensive and versatile, featuring stereo I/O, MIDI DIN and TRS, and a USB-C port. To make the user experience even more intuitive, there is a new OLED display, a dedicated Infinite/Freeze footswitch, and flexible footswitch configuration modes. With the BigSky MX, Strymon does not merely enhance a classic; it raises the bar for what a reverb can offer, catering to discerning musicians who seek the highest quality and flexibility.
