This ginger is great for making hit drinks in the winter when you have a cold and for using in other recipes. You can use just the syrup on it's own or the ginger or both. It's a lovely little luxury to have in.

I ordered it because it was in a recipe I wanted to try. The recipe I made wouldve been awesome if not for the stem ginger. We had to pick it out of the food to make edible. I remade it another time without the stem ginger thats how I know it was awesome. The stem ginger was totally disgusting in my opinion but everyone is different. I threw the whole jar away. In my opinion it was a waste of money.

Excellent quality. Perfect for making a Ginger Cake from the recipe from the Great British Baking show. Americans don’t know stem ginger. A shame, as it’s terrific. Arrived quickly and well packed. Completely satisfied.
Fab product to have in the cupboard - add some of the chopped up ginger with garlic to stir fried veg. Then pour the syrup over the veg and let it sizzle a bit longer - add salt and pepper and it’s delicious!
This is a great product for those of us who use quite a bit of preserved ginger in syrup. Two of our favourites are home baked ginger cake, and a dessert of sliced ginger, vanilla ice cream, with a little of the syrup poured on top. The price including the postage is a little below major supermarket prices, the despatch service is excellent, and the 650g size is much more convenient than the smaller size of the supermarket jars. And it tastes good too! All-in-all excellent.
I love Opies Stem Ginger in Syrup and use jars and jars of it, especially around the holidays. There's nothing like it that you can buy in the US grocery stores. I use it in ginger cookies, gingerbread, bar cookies, cakes or chopped up on ice cream or other desserts. I have made my own stem ginger in syrup, which was a lot of work and the results were good but not quite the same.
Love Opies Stem Ginger on sharp cheddar cheese. Perfect appetizer. Always a big hit.
Chunks of ginger in syrup. Lovely chopped in a ginger cake, in sweet & sour sauce. Syrup lovely on plain yogurt, porridge or in hot water as a drink. Expensive way to buy ginger, a bit of a treat.
Lovely taste, syrup divinely ginger-infused and lovely on ice cream, in milkshakes, tea, etc the actual stem ginger is not too hot or hard.
