Great product, the opinel holds an edge really well, is super easy to sharpen and makes for a perfect little pocket knife and for me is my go to camp eating and food-prep knife. The box and pouch is a great bonus, the pouch holds the knife well and fits easily on my belt with a loop hang.

I purchased the Opinel 8 for gardening and general farm work. It is light to carry and while the locking system requires a deliberate application it does feel very secure. This is important when in use in awkward to get placea and gives a confidence that it is not going to close on your fingers. I have had other folding knives, this one is light, is balanced, has a nice feel and holds its edge well.
