The Opinel No. 8 is a classic. I bought it because I actually needed a pocket knife for hiking, specially for 2-day hikes, where I'd be cooking with a gas stove, cutting food, and eating it (of course XD).I've used it once in a "real" scenario during a hike, and there are absolutely no complaints. Actually, there's even a praise: a friend of mine was appreciating it, and she tried to open the blade without turning the guard open, and she used some force until I abruptly stopped her for obvious reasons, and the guard held on pretty nicely! No signs of it breaking or even getting bent whatsoever.The quality of the blade is very good. Interesting fact: it's sharpened only on one side of the blade. The other side is straight. So pleased with this. I bought it for my husband so that he'd have his own No. 08 and not be tempted to "share" my carbon one and I had to get the spoon and fork for mine too! What a clever bit of kit. So often these camping kits have knifes not worthy of the name, but to have a knife which is not just THE finest knife going, but which also doubles up as a picnic set? Genius.

Decline the plastic utensils; carry these instead. Suggestion, carry a second No. 08 Folding knife and you can use your fork and knife to cut your food with more control.
I am a big fan of Opinel knives, and these cutlery add ons are great!
This set makes a good combo to go with the Opinel flatware!
Set is a quality product that you would expect from Opinel.
I have wrote a review so here goes. The utensils lock in the blade very securely, you can use them separately if you don't mind using small utensils so you can use the knife at the same time. I have no complaints with the system.
This is so cool!I showed it to my mother and she wants one "for her purse, because you NEVER know". I, of course, purchased a second one!
i bought this to use at work, but am very conscious of who i use it in front of; as the opinel knife is very sharp. love the camp vibes but wish the cloth were a different color.
