This is definitely a budget phone, overall good for the price but using it after a more 'premium' phone, you certainly notice a difference. The things I liked The phone has an excellent battery life, rarely do I get below 50% battery by the end of the day, even with heavy use. Unlocking the phone via fingerprint and facial recognition is lightning fast. The alarm lets you turn it off just for today but the schedule of the alarm stays on. The things I don't like Navigating through the phone and opening apps is slow and clunky. The camera quality is average. Scanning QR codes takes about 30 seconds each time, which usually wouldn't bother me, but in COVID times, it was very frustrating when entering stores trying to check-in and slowing myself and others down. Mid phone call all trace of the call disappeared from the phone, but I was still on the call - so there was no way to hang up or take the call off speakerphone, luckily it was a personal call, not a work call.

Screen is extremely fragile and shattered first time the phone was dropped, even with the screen protector on it. This was a newely purchased phone so I am very disappointed. Overall, the shopping experience with bing lee was pleasant.

This Oppo 16s mobile phone is a good Budget 4G network mobile. It is easy to set up, and you can customise it to have simple home screen for elderly people, and bigger font to see words with. You can change the shape and sizes of App icons too, which is a nice touch, that you do not get with other mobiles. The only thing I dislike is that the volume keys on the left side, make it harder to turn off. And at one stage I accidentally press the volume keys while turning off. And the Oppo 16s went into Safe mode, and I had to Google how to get out of Safe mode. Because NO apps would work, so that was a little bit frightening. Also the text message tone only goes for 5 seconds. So not very long. But it is a very loud phone when it rings, which you can hear above ... MoreThis Oppo 16s mobile phone is a good Budget 4G network mobile. Great phone and great price. CONS This is my 2nd OPPO and I preferred the first one (AX5s) as it was much simpler to use. I've had this one for over a week and I'm still trying to figure it out. The most annoying thing is when I turned the volume down, it doesn't silence the phone like it did on my previous one, the phone still rings. I have to swipe down and silence it that way which is an extra step that shouldn't be necessary. Also when I call someone, it takes a second or two to be able to press speaker and sometimes people are saying hello a couple times before it reverts to speaker. When I go to recent contacts to make a call, instead of letting me just tap on their name, it makes me choose how I want to contact them which is frustrating. Theres just too many extra steps with this phone. PROS I love the size and it's easy to hold. Sound is great and the battery lasts a long time. It takes less than an hour to fully charge too which is great. I would recommend this if this is your first OPPO but if you prefer doing things quicker in less steps then the older models are the way to go.
Good sized screen, not too large or small. Takes good quality piccies. Main negative is that it's not great on notifications. It's difficult to find settings (if not impossible) to make the phone alert me to incoming messages, etc. I have to rely on opening my phone regularly to see if there's anything I should be dealing with. In general though, a good phone with no glitches or issues. Definitely good value for money.
The phone was easy to setup using the Oppo clone phone app from Oppo, transferred all my apps, messages, contacts, sms and emails in 10 minutes. Great battery life plus options to extend by selecting up to 6 apps to use. The camera is okay for close up, not great for landscapes or panoramas. Good entry priced phone.
I am really enjoying my new mobile. It is easy to use, comes with screen protector and phone case. The price is affordable and there is functions, I did not find on others brands for the same price, for example, NFC.
This smartphone is easy to use, great for my needs as an everyday user. The screen is a really good size - not too large or small. Control functions are easy to find and use. Yep, I'm happy. Got one for my mum, too, as she needs a phone that's pretty stock-standard easy-to-use, coming from the pre-tech gen. It still does all the 'smart' things though!
It works for my grand daughter and it is relatively functional. I have set parental restrictions to protect her and so far it has kept MOST of the rubbish away from her. It is still a vehicle for the awful people out there who wish to cyber bully and it is difficult to keep them away.
When I bought current Oppo the data was transferred easily from an old Samsung using the Clone Phone app. This app was the one listed with the A16s to use also. Unfortunately this app is no longer available. Tried other apps from Google Play store without success. Spent an hr on the phone with Oppo service without success. Sent screen shot to Oppo, as requested, for them to check and reply with alternatives - that was a week before Christmas and no reply received. Very unhappy! Now need to see how to return this phone.
