I’ve tried the Double Rich Chocolate flavour by this brand before (the original one - red packaging), which was so delicious. I had repurchased that 3 times in the past. I wanted to try this isolate whey but this flavour is soo bad. The artificial sweetener leaves an awful aftertaste in your mouth unfortunately. I didn’t have this issue with the other flavour. But since I already bought this, I have no choice but to finish it. After this is over I’m gonna go back to the previous one. But otherwise it blends well and has good protein content. I just gag every time I drink it tho lol

With whole milk:It tastes like budget supermarket brand vanilla ice cream, which is surprisingly good.With water:The vanilla flavor and sweetness feel somewhat artificial, which isn't particularly enjoyable. Aminogen and Lactase should improve digestion, but besides that, there’s not a lot else in this product. It’s several kinds of whey and some enzymes to help you make the most of it.
I like this protein, from ON, it doesn't give me any wind, even when mixed with skimmed milk. I use it occasionally when I need to add in the protein after gym sessions, and when I don't feel like cooking. It's probably the best protein powder I have ever used. I have been using protein powders since late 90's. It's very expensive, therefore I don't buy as much as I would probably like to, as I tend to get my protein through solid clean foods now, however, if needed for that additional boost, this is certainly the one to go for.
I've been looking for a new lactose free protein since the one I used to get (Isopure) stopped selling on MYSUPPLEMENTSHOP. Normal protein powders give me a REALLY bad stomach (I won't go into details!!) so I am always nervous trying a new one. I've been having this for a week now and not only is the flavour really good (I have the chocolate) but I haven't had any problems with my stomach either. It's also a really good price for a lactose free so will be sticking with this powder from now on. UPDATE: I've tried the vanilla now as well and as above, no stomach problems and great taste.
Ok, so I've been buying this for a long time now. I know what to expect with regards to consistency, colour, flavour and so on. The taste is weird, it's not what I've ever tasted before from Gold Standard, certainly not that lovely strawberry flavour I'm used to. It won't mix, and I'm using the same shaker I've always used, never had problems before. Lumpy and just all out weird consistency. Colour is off and I've compared to the powder I bought from their official retail website. Not the same. It's all kinds of wrong. I won't be buying again, which is a shame because previous shakes have been bang on with this seller. Bad batch? Who knows, either way I can't spend that much money and receive gunk.
This is a high quality protein powder and ive been using this product for years. I swear by it. Its delicious and its full of the right kind of stuff to help you on your muscle training journey. My only gripe is one thing is that this product now appears to being phased out. MYSUPPLEMENTSHOP don't seem to know when they'll be restocking this and the only sellers are rip-off merchants who seem to think exploiting customers with highly inflated prices £50!!! and making this so expensive most people wont buy it anymore when they can go elsewhere for much less. Its a shame really because this is the best powder ive ever tried. If moneys no object then you may as well pay the elitist prices but is it really worth £50 for one months supply. I think not.
I've had both the vanilla and chocolate from ON and I definitely prefer the vanilla, by far. The chocolate variation tasted quite off to me, but I'm particularly sensitive to some chocolate flavors, so your individual mileage may vary in this case. The vanilla mixes smoothly, leaves no chunks, and seems to digest and absorb without much problem. The flavor is fairly mild vanilla. Subdued sweetness. Coming from more typical whey concentrate, I've been pleased with the results offered by Isolate. At least for me personally, it seems to provide a better experience. The flavor here won't blow you away, but it plays well with water which is all I can really ask.
