I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I quite like making smoothies in my blender with cold soya milk, bananas, cocoa powder and peanut butter. Lately I have been adding protein powder to help keep me really full and was happy to try this one out. This one mixed very well with the other ingredients and made a rich, filling and nutritious breakfast drink. Recommended!

It tastes and smells like nesquik milkshake. Clearly an artificial chocolate taste but it's called flavouring for a reason. I like it on it's own with water i don't feel i have to add it to oat milk to enjoy it but the option is there for a thicker shake. I can't have whey and this is one of the best vegan plant based shakes I've tried. Nice taste 24g protein per scoop and only 144 calories. Great for a protein boost, a power snack or simply to up the protein score on my breakfast porridge. Not bad value for money either.

I only use ON, I have been using it for years as I feel it helps my growth and recovery with high protein, low sugar and fat so I tried the Plant version. The Vanilla has a slight pea flavour after taste, the vanilla is not too sweet or overpowering like some brands and mixes very well with both water or milk, It mixes really easy definitely no lumps. Chocolate is nice too no after taste. I drink it or add a scoup to my muesli at breakfast time or as a late night snack. It is a great addition to the brand and I will continue to use it.
I've tried a lot of plant based protein powers, this one os by far the worst. The rice protein has a really strong bitter/musty flavour, especially when cooked. It also has a really strong smell.The texture is also terrible and chalky.
Received free sample. Dissolves easily in milk and makes a creamy smooth shake. I normally choose flavoured protein powders, but this vanilla is tasty almost a hint of caramel. Easily tolerated so I've used before and after bike rides. Interesting to try something not whey based. Better / worse than competitors for repair I can't say, but would be happy to buy again and also use as a minor meal replacement.
I hate leaving bad reviews but this time I felt I had to. This shake tastes absolutely disgusting! Was easy to shake and is smooth but the taste is unbearable. Am going to try and mix with something to take the taste away but am not hopeful.
Hiya I gave this one a try as was on special offerThe first thing I noticed is it has a strange taste to it like a weird chemical type taste .I probably won't buy again but will finish if the pot that I have as a waste of money otherwise ! So yes left me with weird like chemical taste
I'm not a fan of protein powders as i hate the flavour you get with them but this tastes exactly like a chocolate milkshake, there is no protein powder taste at all. I tried this with almond milk and it's great just tastes like chocolate milk. And actually high protein too its a miracle !!
ON should in no way give this GOLD. There is close to, no actually there is no chocolate taste. It mainly just tastes ‘pastey’. I bought two tubs of this and am not looking forward to working my way through it. There are far far better non-whey options out there. Amazing Grass - choc peanut butter is not an exact substitute but something I found enjoyable and different. Expensive though. Vega Clean Protein Chocolate is not too bad. Protein World The Vegan Blend Chocolate I thought was really good. Go for that.Don’t touch this ‘ON ‘Gold’ Standard Plant Chocolate’ with anyone’s barge poll...not even if they were all connected together.
