Buy anything else

I don’t understand how a design can be so horrible on a well-known brand. I got it because it had good reviews online. I am not pleased at all. It’s heavy and so messy and there’s mold inside the groove in the toothbrush head after a month, even though i rinse, wipe and dry the head and the base after each time I use it. Heck I even q-tip rubbing alcohol cleaned the i side of the head - mold reappeared. It’s just disgusting how you can never get the head clean. I ordered the soft brush heads because the ones that came with the toothbrush were so hard. Even the soft ones make my gums bleed and my gums never bled before. Absolutely the worst electric toothbrush I have ever used.

Flawed Design - Not Happy At All

I have a Philips Sonicare that is very old and I thought I needed a newer electric toothbrush, so I purchased the Oral B 100 toothbrush recommended by NYT's Wirecutter​ from Walmart. Unfortunately, I could not hate it more! I have a small mouth and it is too big for my mouth, so consider that if you're thinking about buying one. I HATE the "signals" telling me how long to brush my teeth -- they are very annoying and there is no way to disable them. Bad design on the on/off switch, too -- it's hard to find without stopping and looking to find it because it's placed much too high up towards the bristle-end. It's fine

I am reviewing this after a departure from a decade or so of Sonicare brush patronage. Sonicare left me a little disappointed when the unit started to separate in the base - so well anyway, I thought I'd try a lesser expensive option: Oral-B Pro Crossaction 1000. Overall it's OK. I'm used to a gentler action/motion using sonicare - this motor in the oral B is stronger; a little brutal! alarming even. But what really gets my wiggle in a waggle is that there is NO CAP for the head on the Oral-B? Why? What is so difficult to provide a covering for the bristles when not in use? The bathroom environment hosts all sorts of air-borne particles ahemm. I debated whether to take off even 2 stars for this - the cap is really an important feature for an electric toothbrush. Obnoxious! Skip this and get the Sonicare - you will be much much happier. I bought the Oral B to replace the Phillips Sonicare I’ve had for at least 12 years. The replacement heads cost more than the Oral Bs, but after trying the new brush of all of 3 days I ran back to my old brush. Oral B is LOUD. Every time I used it I smelled burning plastic or rubber - very unpleasant. Mine refused to charge - it sat on the charger and never stopped blinking. Each time I used it it would start of Loyd and by y but dwindle almost immediately. The button is difficult to shut off, you have to sort of cycle it down in steps before it will shut off. The head shape and action are very weird - hard to get into the teeth far back and overall just didn’t feel like I’d had a good ... MoreObnoxious! Oral B warranty is a joke and a lie

The charging base stopped working after three months. I contacted Oral B customer service for a replacement since it was still well under warranty. They said they would only replace it if I paid money out of my pocket to send them the entire toothbrush set for analysis first. There would be no refund for this postage. The replacement base is only ten dollars on Amazon. It is cheaper for me to buy that than ship them the broken one and my toothbrush which isn't broken. I do not recommend Oral B for this reason. Their warranty is a lie and they obviously do not care. I can not support a company that does not care about their customers. Oral-B Pro 1000 'Top of the Line'

The best rechargeable toothbrush I've used and/or purchased. The Oral-B Pro 1000 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush is extremely powerful, deep cleans the teeth and polishes the tooth surfaces with ease. The Oral-B 1000 has three modes which is beneficial. The recommended time is two minutes to clean the surface areas of the teeth . However, I find that only a minute or a bit more is sufficient time to clean my teeth. The cross action brush is a very fine bristle brush, massaging the gums and cleaning all areas with ease. I never realized what I've been missing in a 'top notch' rechargeable toothbrush. The charger charges the battery most effectively as I keep the toothbrush set in the charger after each use. Very ergonomic and comfortable to use. Overall great brush at a great price

Overall a great electric toothbrush, similar to previous versions I’ve had over the past 20 years of using oral-b / vitality / braun versions. I like that I can use my oral-b brush type of preference - the round spinning brush is my favorite. It’s also a no-frills product, which is a plus in my opinion because it comes with a no-frills price. Who needs a smart tracker for their toothbrush? That’s what your tongue is for. If my teeth feel clean, I must have brushed them today. The ONLY reasons I knocked off a star is because the button material is smooth, which makes it harder to push with wet, toothpaste covered fingers. Previously, the button has been more rubbery. Terrible on-off button!

I have the old version of this toothbrush and really like it, and decided to get another for traveling. This new version is good in most ways, but they have changed the design of the on-off button and made it awful to use! It used to poke out, so it was easy to find by touch, and a tiny amount of pressure would turn it on or off. Now for some crazy reason they have made the button sink IN to the handle. To turn it on or off, you have to push HARD on this depressed little circle. To turn it off, you also have to hold it. For someone with a little arthritis in her fingers, this is an awful and literal pain. For others, it is just a daily annoyance. And you also have a hard time finding the button. an electric toothbrush for the people who are used to manual toothbrushes

I bought on target black friday 2023. I heard that electric toothbrushes were more thorough than manual toothbrushes. At first, I did not like it much and would sometimes go back to my manual toothbrush. I have long since gotten used to it in the past year. I only use the sensitive setting (two power button presses) because my teeth are sensitive. My routine is to floss, brush, then use mouthwash. I feel like applying toothpaste to my teeth and then doing the brushing allows for more even toothpaste coverage because if I don't, it seems the brush head flings the toothpaste. I charge the toothbrush every other month and keep it in my toiletry bag.
