This toothbrush is much better than the cheaper one I used before. The app is great as it has a lots of functionalities and let me know if I have missed any surfaces. There are quite different kinds of brushes that I could choose and make me feel comfortable to brush as well. Very handy and useful. Highly recommended

Best Electric Toothbrush ever

Since purchasing the Smart 5 5000 Electric toothbrush, my teeth feel so much cleaner. More like I have just returned from the dentist. There are several speeds and if too much pressure is applied, a red light flashes. Extremely happy with the purchase.

Electric toothbrush

I love it. I’ve bought the cheaper ones in the past, but decided to go the mid price range this time. Been using it for nearly two weeks, and have yet to recharge, as it is going great guns still. The cheaper ones run out quickly in just a few days, (the same brand), but this one has heaps of power. Would recommend to anyone.

Good but with some limitations

Good product. Powerful brushing, feeling fresh after use. Only drawback is that if you are not connected to your Oral B app, u cannot tell which brushing mode you are using. The time prompt is now vibrations rather than beeps (my old Oral B) so hard to tell if 2 mins is up.

Good value for money

The brush is more powerful than the others that I have used prior. Thanks for the Li battery. However I found the brush is hard to adjust the brushing speed. The on/off button just doesn’t respond to the press well. The App also isn’t so useful for this model. Overall it’s a good brush for the money.

Great value, but missing the second button

Its great value for the price, but I miss the separate mode and On off buttons that come with the 7000 and 9000 models. Next time, I would definitely get the 7000. It works exactly the same, more just you have to press and hold the Power/Mode button to turn it off.

How to improve the customer experience of the 5000

It’s a bit difficult to change modes without turning it off. The so called manual doesn’t do a good job of describing which toothbrush head is which. At least in brackets for each ie (blue, green & yellow) bristles. Why not include the extra soft blue one which is recommended by most dentists ?

It's good!

Leaves my teeth feeling more polished than with regular toothbrush. Has made cleaning my teeth twice daily fun :) Only thing is the noise... it's very buzzy. And the toothpaste tends to fly off the brush when it's on, even lowest setting. I'd love to see a brush head for sensitive teeth, very soft with more tapered bristles.

Smart choice

Fantastic toothbrush with all the extras, it has an app that guides you through a thorough brushing, it also keeps notes on your gum health, how hard you press when brushing and how well you brush your teeth. For the younger people, the app also gives badges for brushing well and maintaining a brushing routine. It runs all the old electric tooth brush heads from the older models and even uses the same charging base. Unfortunately it is quite a bit noisier than previous models.

You will have a big smile after using this.

Compared with the earlier 3000 series Oral B brush this is a Rolls Royce. Being able to match the various speeds to the type of brush head being used is a huge advantage over previous models. It is also slightly slimmer and less weight making it easier to use. I have noticed a definite improvement in cleaning. Highly recommended.
