Excellent controller. Love the Wi-Fi function - it means I can turn on a sprinkler from my phone whilst standing at the zone, rather than running back and forth to the controller. My only complaint is that my first Orbit controller died after only 2 years. I hope that's not a trend.

Unfortunately one of the more painful devices I have set up to connect to WiFi. Firmware updates via mobile devices (Bluetooth) do not work and must be request on the b-hyve forum. Android app is buggy. Watering functionality appears to work well.
Previous system died after 3 years. No response from Orbit. Great system, a little worried about reliability.
Setup with 12 stations 3 weeks ago. No problems.
Just over 2 years old and has failed. 'No AC' on display. Limited warranty. Have been told that a spike surge regularly causes this problem? Really surely these products would be designed to cope with this. Basically if you buy a Orbit product budget $250 every second year for a new irrigation controller!
I've bought 2 of these now, one for my place about 7-8 years ago (still going strong) and one now for my parents in law. I'm very happy with the controller and the app. The app is not perfect but not many are. I'd highly recommend this if you want a reliable feature ritch smart controller.
Smart watering function saves water by monitoring and responding to weather (rain and frost). A great unit.
Very convenient to be able to run the retic from my phone.
