I got this to reduce my cable mess on my desk, between my pc and laptop. As it's powered, I can charge devices like phones and VR controllers, and the cable is long enough that I can mount it under the desk using 3M stickers. I have all my peripherals going into it, so now I have just a single USB 3 cable I can switch between my laptop and pc.Fast,clean, minimal and reliable. I owned the smaller version of this previously for a number of years.

This adapter is good, I use it for my PlayStation.Pros: Has external power supply as well so can be used as a USB device charging hub, doesn't need driversCons: Every half an hour or so the adapter turns off, then on again which can be annoying when playing games as my wireless headset then has to reconnect along with keyboard and mouse. This happens even when using an external power plug as well as the USB being plugged into a host device.

I bought this item last April 2020 and was delivered by courier to my house. The item worked well in the beginning as it run several peripherals like 2 external portable HDD, 2 printers, webcam, and a USB thumb drive. I wanted this product because it included a power supply which I will need to power up a number of computer peripherals. However, last December 2020, the item started to act up and intermittently drops the connection with my HDD and USB thumb drive. It will go on and off several times which is very annoying. Now it can't connect to my printer making it off-line. It is now frustrating because I cannot print my documents. I will try to exchange swap with the same item and see what happens. Not sure if this is a good choice of hub. It did the job for a couple years but then it died. Is a couple years reasonable? Maybe for some people. I have PC peripherals that are years older. I don't want to promote a throwaway society.The other issue is the design - power cable at one end, PC USB connection at other end. Ludicrous. There's no neat way to put this on your desk and route the cables out of sight. No matter how you rotate it, there's one cable awkwardly pointing towards you and doubling back, or put it sideways and you have 2 cables pointing out and then going back. I ended up blue-tacking mine to the leg of my desk, still within reach, but just to get the cables off the desk and free up some space.

Have only had this product for a short time but seems to power two hard rives and a keyboard well, as expected. Previous reviews stated that the device did not come with the correct cables. The one I recieved did so this should not be a problem. Good product, does as expected.

I purchased 2 of these during a PBTech store sale and glad I did. I've used several USB 3 hubs over the years, all on mac and this hub is easily the most stable I've tired. No drive mounting problems, speeds are good and all devices plugged in so far including external SSD SATA drives, external spinning SATA drives (both permanent mounts and intermittent plugging in as required), Flash, Phones, etc all mount briskly and without a hitch. I must also add I have another Orico hub on a much older mac and that is equally as stable and reliable. So if you are a mac user then I definitely recommend these for stability, price, economy of desk space and the cables are all decent length too.

This 7 port USB 3 hub works exactly as you might expect. Being powered it does provide charge to devices but don't expect to charge several things at once of it if they're high draw like the iPad or a camera.You will need to buy a USB 3 Male-A to Male-A to go with this as the cable it ships with is Male-A to Micro USB and you can't use that to connect to USB out from your computer!
