They are now a subsidiary of Seiko, but still have their own strategy, so the quality of the watches remains consistently excellent. Orient is one of the few producers in the industry that uses its own mechanisms. All clock parts are made in Japan, Basic models are assembled in other countries and are subject to strict quality control. More expensive models, such as the Orient Star, are entirely made in Japan. Orient sees its mission as offering high-quality, affordable watches with an unchanging, unique style. The heritage of the Orient is based on craftsmanship, reliability, precision and beauty that will stand the test of time. The company's products can be divided into four categories: Classic, Bambino, Sport and Orient Star. There is also the 3-Star Orient and the Royal Orient. The former is an export line and the latter is another luxury brand (more expensive than Orient Star).
