I used this lotion as a toner and layered it a couple of times. It really soothed my skin and hydrated it a lot. I could definitely see that my skin got less red during the day. Bonus: The product is especially great when you accidentally have over-exfoliated and need extra care. It definitely hydrate and help relieve visible redness and irritation. The texture is lightweight and watery - fits well with other products.

My Mecca facial consultant used this and I loved the smell! So calming and refreshing. Use when I can in my PM routine but I’m unsure of its effect. I used to be concerned about redness but I’m not sure if this has reduced it or some of my other changes. Will repurchase just for its calming though.

This product was recommended to me after another treatment lotion became unavailable. The lotion has a watery consistency that goes on well and absorbs fairly quickly, straight after cleansing. It does seem to leave a slightly tacky feel once absorbed, but that doesnt seem to affect your serums and moisturisers that follow. All in all a nice product, but not as good as the treatment lotion no longer available, which my skin just loved.
I love how this lotion comes in two different sizes, perfect for first-time users who aren't ready to commit to a big bottle yet. The lotion has a very light, watery consistency and has a light herbal scent that's not too overpowering or artificial. If this is suitable for me, I would consider to purchase again.
I read the reviews before buying and had many of the experiences mentioned. Pros: skin tone is slightly less extreme after two weeks of regular use, smells great - a lot like an old style shampoo but a little more natural and fresh smelling. Looks like it will go a long way. Cons: quite expensive given it’s just a good toner. I did break out a little but for me this looks like it’s just a bit of detoxing as it has calmed down. Would I buy it again? Maybe, but I am keen to try other less expensive skin tone evening formulas. Keep in mind this formula will slightly tighten and dry your skin a very small amount however it is a process product meaning you should always apply moisturiser after toning.
I have awkward skin that feels dried by almost every product I try. I get on really well with a few staple Origins products and this is a key one. Applied to clean skin, beneath A Perfect World serum and moisturiser, I love this product. It's apparently not a toner, but one uses it like a toner. I love the smell and it leaves my skin feeling comforted. I apply with my fingers (as suggested by person in shop) I used to apply via cotton wool... it's easy and it goes a long way.
I bought this because I wanted a pre moisturiser oil but was worried about using them on my oily combo skin. I decided instead for this which is a “treatment lotion” but i feel like it’s somewhere between a toner/cleanser with moisturising properties. I actually just put a little in my hands after showing and rub it over my face, let it dry for a second and then apply the moisturiser. It leaves my skin so soft and prepped for the moisturiser and has smoothed out my skin so well. I’ve been using the oil free Origins moisturiser after and they’re definitely a great match. The treatment lotion is a fab price for what you get (you only need to use a little). I’ve even noticed my skin feeling softer and a LOT less dry after a shower, before I even put it on!
I've gone through 4 bottles of this after being recommended in store to soothe my irritated acne prone skin. Definitely love it for helping increase absorption of my other products, immediate soothing and hydration of skin, and breathing in the scent is very relaxing. However, after using it for a few years my skin is still getting breakouts and gets irritated with environmental exposures. So whilst this definitely has an immediate soothing effect I don't believe it has improved my skin in the long term. It does hydrate and would be great for those with less problem skin! I'll now be trying out different hydrating toners/essences with a lower price point to replace this item.
Hi there,I love Origins products and starting to use it frequently. When I ordered full size of the mushroom lotion, i was a bit disappoint that it was leak in the delivery box. You could seal the opening a bit properly. Anyway, overall the product is great, I can see my skin has been improving and even my friends started to noticing. I also use the youth serum and ginseng moisturizer!
