HEALTHY & HAPPY FURR BABIES FOREVER

I was getting food at walmart for years because of how cheap it was and honestly thought it was good food. I read it was normal for cats to throw up sometimes but i realized that was not the case AT ALL, my friend recommended me this brand of food from my local Petco and was skeptical at first because of the price but I had just adopted a baby kitten and my bestfriend Nyxie has been w me for 10 years now and wanna make sure she’s healthy also so I decided to make the jump w the kitten one and automatically noticed a difference in their coats. Having a hard time transitioning my cat...in a good way!!

I can't believe how much my picky senior loves this food. I'm having a really hard time transitioning her slowly from her old food because she doesn't even want her old food anymore. She was on the Smalls fresh food diet for a few months and I thought she liked it, but she started getting sick with vomiting and lethargy. I felt like something was maybe missing from the Smalls diet, so I did some research and landed on Orijen. I like the solid ingredients list with a variety of protein sources for a variety of amino acids. The second my cat smelled this food she abandoned the fresh Smalls food and devoured the kibble. So far, she hasn't had any lethargy or stomach issues. I'm very happy. Unless something drastic happens, I will continue to buy this food!

I’ve never seen my cat eat so fast with excitement!

My picky eater Callie was incredibly excited when we switched to the Guardian 8 senior formula. I’ve never seen her eat so fast this morning now that she is fully on it, after a slow introduction. The packaging is appealing and very detailed of the ingredients. . With 90% animal ingredients for a whole prey diet it’s a sure hit. She’s 7 years old now, so I have been meaning to switch her to a senior food, and this hit every mark. She had no digestion issues with the switch and she seems so much happier after a week on this food. We did a slow mixture to introduce the new food to her diet and she’s loving it now. This will be her dry food choice for now on!

2 of my cats are now seniors at 9 years of age. They are siblings from the same litter. Since they were kittens, they have had a few abnormal nails on their front paws. I avoid grains, meat byproducts, etc. I make sure their food states compliance with AAFCO standards.Until now, I was under the impression that all essential calories, vitamins, and minerals were provided if a pet food stated compliance with AAFCO standards. Unfortunately, I was wrong.I am not super familiar with this process. From what I can gather on the internet, the AAFCO standards are just that - standards. The AAFCO standards are the KNOWN nutrients needed by cats (and dogs). The AAFCO does not stamp a seal of approval. The AAFCO does not inspect facilities. The AAFCO does not perform testing of random lots to ensure nutrient profiles meet their standards.Basically, there's no testing or confirmation by an independent 3rd party or government-run agency. There's no quality control for nutrients in pet food. Companies can say they are compliant with AAFCO standards, but consumers do not know for sure.So.... maybe the AAFCO standards DO meet all the nutritional requirements to keep pets healthy, but no independent agency confirms pet foods are meeting those standards. Very unsettling.

There might be a long-term negative effect on cats

My cat went to Emergency 10 days ago, she was peeing blood. The doctor told me she might have urinary tract infection or cystitis. At the time, I was not sure why it happened, and I couldn't recall anything wrong in her diet, environments, and habits. For the past 9 months, I fed my cat on orijen, and it is mainly orijen now since she does not like the wet food I bought for her at all. I don't think there's anything wrong with this brand until yesterday I found on social media that some pet parents met the same situation as me and they fed their cats on orijen, especially the six fish flavor.
