Have had my rug for a few years now and it’s time for a proper clean. Electrodry arrived this morning and informed me because of the Jute content they wouldn’t touch it. On reaching out to Freedom to ask how to have this cleaned have been informed the same - mist professional cleaners won’t clean because of the jute. Would be a useful piece of information to have been given at point of purchase.

Beautiful rug with all-natural fibres. The neutral colours are beautiful and the darker version of this rug has a fleck that hides stains and dirt well. (If you don't like vacuuming constantly, consider not buying a mono-colour floor covering).Like all natural wool carpets it loses a bit of fluff to begin with but nothing drastic and it stops after a while. I would recommend a non-slip underlay to go with it. Love the rug, heaps of people comment on it. This is the second one I've bought, and I spent ages finding the right one. Great for a natural, modern or Scandinavian look

It’s early days, but the Orissa floor mat looks good and is staying in place with the use of mat grip on tile floor. Being used as a door mat by front door. The short edges are folded under by about 5cm so the unfinished edges aren’t visible. Does lead to more bulkiness at these edges but so far it’s not been an issue.

Great mat, perfect for a main door doorway. However I wish they made this in double its size. So that there is a larger footprint covering the floor for shoes to stand on, take off so that any dirt remains on the mat. The runner is too long. I bought two of these and placed them side by side but they need occasional readjustment back together.
I have two of these, inside by the front and back door to catch extra dirt etc when people walk inside. They look so good! Very elevated looking mats, especially compared to my previous Adairs mats. They have a good thickness too them and the jute doesn’t seem to fray or look untidy. I bought the under mat slip covers which work a treat on my wooden floors. (These were about $10 each at freedom too).
I'm so happy with my purchase of two Orissa rugs one has gone under my dining table the other has gone in front of my TV these areas are all in the same open space leading from the kitchen. They are perfect in colour and texture!The best thing about about buying from Freedom you can take the items back if not suitable with no question asked! Great because you think it might match your decor then get it home and it looks different! Great customer service, great value for money. Very happy with my new purchase, just what I was looking for to warm the house up at the cooler weather approaches soon. I will definitely be buying another rug from Freedom, this is my third purchase and I have never been disappointed.
Orissa is a great floor rug. It feels soft to sit on and blends well with natural fibre. There was a slight smell when the rug was first unwrapped, but that seems to be going. It is probably because a wool product's been wrapped up for transportation.
Really regret buying this rug. We bought it for our living room, before our baby arrived. It balls, sheds and molts. Rug fibres stick to everything and my baby ends up with fist fulls of rug fibres in her mouth and on her hands. Needs constant vacuuming - it’s terrible. Don’t buy it.
The jute/wool combo is delightful underfoot. The neutral colour blends well with our existing fabrics and provides a real warmth to the room.Unfortunately our dog vomited on it and I must note it’s not the easiest to clean.Would however highly recommend ( just make sure the dog doesn’t go near it ! )
