Orku 1.3kg Sodium Bicarbonate Tub - Food Grade Bicarb Baking Soda Hydrogen Carbonate

Sodium Bicarbonate, also known as Baking Soda and has been used for centuries in cooking, for cleaning and as a water softener. Its quite often referred to as Bicarb, Sodium Bicarb, Baking Soda, Cooking Soda, Cleaning Soda, Bread Soda or Bicarbonate of Soda. Our Bicarb Soda does not contain Aluminium and is Australian Certified and tested, Grade Number 1, in essentially a crystalline powder form, which is Food Grade. Suggested Uses Of Sodium BicarbonateBaking/Cooking Sodium Bicarbonate has been used for many years as a leavening agent. It reacts with acids in batter mixes which produces carbon dioxide making it rise and expand during cooking. Splinter removal Add a tablespoon of baking soda to a small glass of water, then soak the affected area twice a day. Many splinters will come out on their own after a couple of days using this treatment. Teeth whitener To whiten your teeth naturally, crush one strawberry and mix with 1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate. Spread the mixture onto your teeth and leave on for five minutes. Then brush your teeth and rinse. This method should be used no more than once a week, as excessive use could potentially damage your tooth enamel. General Cleaning To remove grease and stubborn stains, mix 2 tablespoons of Baking Soda with 1 tablespoon of Lemon Juice to form a foaming mix. Apply to a damp cloth and clean. Smelly Carpet? Just Sprinkle the Baking Soda evenly all over the carpet (use a sieve to get a nice even covering), leave for 3 – 4 hours then hover up. The smell should be gone and the carpet smelling fresh and clean. Does your Fridge Smell? Nobody like the smell of Wet Dog Sprinkle Baking Soda over your dogs fur and brush it through. The baking soda should mop up all the odours as its brushed through.
