Really like much of this bag to use for travelling. However, the straps on top of the bag, which are described as shoulder straps, are too short. I am a small person and I can barely get the straps over my shoulder - would be awesome to increase the length of the straps and/or have a proper adjustable shoulder strap. Will likely purchase a Sherpani bag instead, which includes all three carry options: back pack, tote, shoulder strap.

I purchased this bag to use as a diaper bag. My family lives an active lifestyle and I wanted something that would take us to the ski hill, the park, a carry-on for plane travel and beyond. Tote straps are perfect for carrying to/from the car with a car seat in my arms and the backpack straps are great for walking around. Water bottle pouches are stretchy so they fit big water bottles and hold them in snuggly. Love the stash pouch in front to shove a cloth or any last minute items as I run out the door.

Is there anyone who hasn't tried several bags that claim to convert from a backpack to a tote, only to be disappointed with the lack of product testing? I'm hoping this Osprey will beat the odds. The bottom backpack straps DO tuck in the bottom (look for small openings that allow you to store in the back lowermost section), or tuck away the tote handles. Check Osprey's site for more detailed reviews, as well as a less-male centric video than this site has. This bag isn't just for men going to golf.

I bought this for an Asia vacation to use as my daypack. I love wearing dresses, so the tote bag version was nice because I look less like the “backpacker” cliché. The backpack version was great for the airport and hiking or long walks. It’s a decent enough size to fit beachwear, snacks and electronics. It’s not a huge backpack though, and although the shoulder straps are comfy this won’t make it through a 2-day hike, the bag is not ergonomic enough. I recommend it for urban travel. Love the water bottle holders on each side, they are deep and elastic.

My 15-inch VivoBook fits comfortably inside and there is still plenty of room in the main compartment for some books, a wallet, and a couple smaller zip bags. Purchased this as a "dad diaper bag". Seems to work great so far. Lightweight, easy to swing on back or carry via tote (depending on baby situation). The 2 side pockets are great for stashing baby shoes, accessories, and other items needed on the ready. Inside are a laptop sleeve and zipper compartment for smaller secure items. I appreciate being able to use the tote "pockets" to dump clothing in a pinch!
Haven't had a chance to use the bag but seems to be the perfect carryon personal item. Can use it as a tote/purse or a backpack. It has a sleeve to fit over the luggage handle for easy travel to/from airport/trains. Great size. Decent backpack straps. Product is accurately described.
I bought this bag because I wanted something light weight and roomy. Osprey always fits those criteria. I love that you can easily convert it from a tote to a backpac and vice versa. Wearing it as a backpack is incredibly comfortable - which surprised me. I also how deep and wide the bag is. The pockets/compartments do the trick. It's so multi-purpose. I bring it for all my weekend errands.
I wanted a simple bag for my personal item carry-on. I travel weekly for work so it needed to be easy and sleek looking too. I love it because it’s got multiple pockets (inside and out). Great access to outside pockets while at the airport or in a seat, but inside it has dividers for your laptop. It can be held as a tote or a backpack. And it had a slider handle for your luggage handle which is awesome. I wish it were 5L more like my Black Hole Patagonia travel backpack (also a great bag which my boyfriend uses). It’s not waterproof.
