I typically drink more than 4L per day, and I don't need any snacks for 2-8 hours hikes; I was in a search for spacious enough hydration pack so I can try longer hikes. I even bought special cover to keep water warm in Winter. 2.5L reservoir will be enough for 20 mile hike, and I can add few bottles, just in case. I use special water with potassium and seasalt.1 hour run without water is Ok; but more that 2 hours run/jogging/hike - water is must have.Fit is great for my 5'10" XL frame, so comfortable that I don't feel any "weight".

This backpack is fantastic. I can fit all my spare tire, tools, pump, first aid kit, snack, wallet, phone and keys, with room to spare. The pack breathes well and has minimal contact on my back. Water after a 2 hour ride in 33C heat is still a good temperature. Everything is well built and seems like it should last for a long time.

I have been using Katari 7 about a year. This is a great backpack for most of MTBers and hikers.Product description itself well explains what it is for: ideal for fast rides while packing a few biking essentials. Low-profile, stable and includes a 2.5-liter. It survives abuse and multiple crashes.

The pack is wonderful for a 3-4hr hike, or about the same cycling distance. The water bladder is more than enough, and the inner pockets, storage, and outer side mesh allow for extra snacks and gear, such as an extra tube, c02 cannister and some tools for cycling. Just wish it was easier to get on.
I needed a hydration bag for longer hikes / climbs, but my other bag was a bit too bulky. This fits the bill perfectly and has some space for snacks / keys, without being much of a burden. Love osprey packs as well as their customer service. Also have had good experience with Hydrapak (who makes the reservoir) customer service, when I got a defective tube, they replaced the part immediately. Totally worth the price.
This is my first hiking/biking backpack with a water bladder and it just came in today. I haven't used it yet but it feels comfortable and light. The only problem I have with it is that it does not have little strap holders to hold and keep the loose ends of the ropes/strap in place. It's really irritating having it flop around. Also, for the bottom buckle belt, I suggest making it a choice for the consumers in which they can remove it or not because somedays you just want to feel like there's nothing there holding you back. Please add little strap holders to put away the annoying loose strings. Patagonia has it on the chest strap and I think that it was really helpful since it looks more presentable and stable.
Cambria is very quick to process orders for shipment, returns, etc. companies with this level of service are getting far and few. This hydration backpack fits like a glove and holds plenty of water and items (for me anyway). I ended up purchasing the quick connect kit for an easier cleaning, attaching and detaching solution. And with a lifetime warranty from Osprey, how can you go wrong? Yes, some folks complain about the straps just hanging, but that doesn’t bother me.
The hydration pack is great! I use it 3-4 times a week when I go cycling. The pack fits well and does not bother while riding. The only negative of this pack is not being able to easily detach the water pad from the backpack. It makes it a little difficult but there is another attachment that can be purchased to easily remove the water pad from the pack.
Perfect for short day hikes or runs. Easy to reach side pockets. Low profile prevents unnecessary movement. My daily go to pack for my 3-5 mile treks. It's a little pricey but it serves my purposes well.
I find the 7L size perfect for 80-90% of my rides. I have a 16L and a 32L bike pack, but for most of my rides of 2-3 hours I can fit everything in this 7L pack: a few tools, spare inner-tube, and some clothes for when the temperature drops during a ride. Osprey makes great packs and this one easily handles a 2.5L water bladder; has a separate pocket for a cell phone, wallet and key clip; easy opening zipper to tool storage and enough room for a few thin layers of clothing. I use it from late spring to early fall and rides of 4 hour or less. For longer rides when you need more clothes, food and tools because home is not around the corner, I find the 16L better. The Osprey 7L pack is the pack I use the most since it is comfortable and light.
