Very comfortable travel cabin bag that can fit under an airplane seat. You can fit quite a lot of items in the bag if you pack efficiently. Quality is amazing and great warranty deal. Very happy with my purchase.

In fact the straps I didn't like enabled me to compress the bag significantly enough that it passed as an international carry-on. Just returned from my first trip with this bag - a week on a barge in France and hotels / flights either end. Very happy with it. Maximum size for a plane cabin, big inside, with lots of small pockets etc for smaller items. Comfy harness / straps. Well done.

This fills a good gap in the market, it’s very robust, everyone who has seen it has commented that it ‘looks expensive’. It has a great structure and is an excellent suitcase alternative. In my opinion, more padding wouldn’t go amiss, but there are backpacks that fill that requisite already such as the fairview / fairpoint. Overall, much more like a suitcase that you can carry on your back, but overall surprisingly comfortable.
I recently took my Osprey Sojourner 46 on a 12 day trip to Europe, and found it handled everything I need for the trip and made airport, trains and buses much easier to navigate, not to mention walking my way to the hotels from the stations. So many great features, and capacity for clothes, supplies and equipment.
I ordered Osprey Sojourn 30 for my upcoming trip to Europe. I semi packed the bag and wow! It’s so uncomfortable to carry for women. I just walked around the house for a while. Bag is spacious and nice. Straps are narrow and dig into your arms. I can’t believe they didn’t test that. All the upgrades to leave the uncomfortable strap system. I can’t imagine the bigger bags in the same line and this same system. Also straps are scratchy if you are wearing tanks or short sleeves. Not soft at all. Big fail by osprey after waiting for the Porter upgrade. This doesn’t feel like an upgrade at all. I returned the bag. Don’t buy it if you are a woman.
The Bad: The stitching started coming apart after a short (5 day) trip. The top pocket small zipper broke on the way to the airplane.The Good: It's a nice pack that lets you carry tons of stuff. It's well balanced so you can track tons of weight without an issue. Because Osprey's service is amazing it was no issue that the stitching was coming apart. They stand by their products.
Well built and durable. Exactly meets international carrier size requirements. The pack pack straps deploy easily and are comfortable. More internal pockets than you might have need, and one outside stretch pocket that is good for a small water bottle or small umbrella depending on need. Makes international travel possible without checked baggage.
Way too heavy unloaded. V difficto access internals on the go ...you need to fully open the compression front to open it all. Straps are excellent and strong materials but overall the whole thingbis very cumbersome. Its more a luggage bag than a accessible backpack when travelling.
Thoughtfully designed carry-on travel companion for mobile professionals or students. Excellent build quality and lots of tasteful ‘clever’ without distracting bells & whistles (well, bells anyway - whistle is incorporated into the chest strap).
