A great backpack for both my wife and I to use so the adjustability was very important and it works as advertised. It would have been nice to have a bottle pouch on the straps and it seems a little mean not to include a hydration pack with the bag when it’s designed to hold one. That said very happy with my purchase.

This is a review after three years of heavy use. (2-3 times a week at least) I have used this extensively for hiking, travel and photography. For hiking, it is the perfect tradeoff of weight, suspension and functionality.I was looking for the best setup for nature photography and travel photography. I searched high and low and tested out a couple of expensive alternatives. However, this is the setup I uses. In the attached pictures I use a padded insert and am able to carry a tripod (Manfrotto BeFree), 15-30 F2.8, 70-200 F2.8, 20mm F1.8. I carry my camera on the front (20-70mm) with a Peak Design clip. I only listed the lenses for those who realize thats a lot of heavy glass. The suspension enables me to travel long distances, securely. I also am able rotate the ... This is my second Osprey Pack (I also have Xenith 88).Very well built, comfortable to wear.Sleeping bag compartment can fit (a bit tight) North Face Lynx sleeping bag, so you can use this backpack for an autumn/spring overnight trips.Having a built-in rain-cover is a great bonus.Stove-On-The-Go for the hiking poles works very well.Adding a second loop for the ice loop would be nice.As my subjective opinion - it feels a bit tighter than you expect 36L pack to be.Overall - great backpack.
When looking for a new pack my main criteria were comfort, features and durability. Firstly this is a very comfortable pack, it fits very well with no pressure points, distributes weight well and is super breathable. Also the mesh used on the back and straps feels reasonably soft. Secondly the features are fantastic: side access zip, rain cover, bottle holders with compression straps that can be used over or under the bottle just to name a few. Finally the quality is great as is expected from Osprey and backed up by their warranty. The only small negatives are the slightly higher weight which is normal due to additional features and the waist strap pockets are a bit snug for a large cell.
Very nice pack. Lots of pockets, feels comfortable when carrying a full pack. Seems to be very roomy for a 36L pack. Carry on size that works on both North American & European airlines. Looking forward to using it on the Camino.
This is an extremely well-made pack. I intend to use it for long day hikes, overnightesr and hunting, which is why I bought the green. Lots of adjustment to the body. I am 5’3” female and the smallest size of this pack fits good. Very comfrtable to carry. Slowly transitioning all of my packs to Osprey, you can’t go wrong. Check out online reviewes and YouTube to ensure the pack has the features you need for its intended use. Superb service from Altitude, too.
Great fit, comfortable, breathes well, technically supports whatever your load carry to make light work for any length of trek. The Osprey Stratos has exceeded my expectations. I originally ordered the Talon 22L and it just didn't fit quite right so I switched up to the Stratos and am very pleased I did. I am a fan of Osprey and own other packs of theirs and feel they have earned their spot as an industry leader. With the variety in the Osprey line up, you are sure to find a quality pack that fits you and your needs.
bought this for my partner who was looking for a winter backpack that could potentially double up as a larger summer backpack/travel pack as well. Went for osprey as they have a lifetime warranty and solid reviews. he found the pack very comfortable, high rather than wide which works for him as he's 6'2 but could impact fit on shorter individuals. has everything we need and all the extra winter gear fit fine. Will be keeping this one!
After watching many reviews I chose to buy this pack. Glad i did. It is super comfortable and very light. Big enough to take all you need for a day or even an overnight hike. The airmesh back and adjustable height make it awesome.
