It is very difficult to get an Osprey bladder in there (I'm using the narrower blue one) as the bladder is wider than the space, caused by the load lifter straps being in the way. Yes you can loosen the straps, or even remove them, but this is a faff. Also, the strap that supports the bladder has been sewn onto the soft flexible part of the bag rather than the stiff back support. This means when you have 1-2 kilos of water in there the weight pulls down and distorts the top the bag making it look a right mess.- No integrated rain cover.I've used this bag on two ultra challenges now, both were 100km continuous walks. They stow on the go worked well, I was frequently putting my poles back in the loops and found I could do this without even stopping or slowing down just by leaving the poles fully extended. The hip pockets were accessible and big enough for extra snacks. The bag didn't make my back too sweaty (I was expecting it to), being small and narrow probably helped this. And it was comfortable. I will be modifying the bladder support strap myself. It would be nice to have an integrated rain cover, I know their hiking specific bags have one, but this is not a big deal for me as I have a separate one from another bag, and I can leave it at home if the weather is great.

Bottom Line: Great Day BagI normally use a regular backpack for hiking but it wasn’t good for allowing air to flow so my back was always sweaty. I figured it was time to get a true day bag so I decided to try this Osprey 11 since I already own an Osprey 40 and could use the water bladder from that in the day bag. I’ve taken this a few hikes and a few trail runs and it met the need although running with water swishing isn’t ideal. If you’re looking for a nice day bag, consider this one.Cons:- expensive ($90)- missing the strap magnet for my bladder tubePros:- nicely built- durable- light weight- plenty of pockets- good size for a day bag

You can’t go wrong with an Osprey. Bought this bag for snowboarding. The bag is not bulky and fits whatever I need to bring with me. Side pockets are a big plus for easy reach items. Hydration compatible. The only thing missing, is the tuck able rain cover like i have on my Stratos 34 and Hikelite 18. I purchased the XS rain cover separately which fits perfectly over the bag. All in all great bag, will use it as well for trekking.

Perfect pack for day hiking and short camping trips with its incredible amount of adjustable counterparts. Straps don't rub. Pack doesn't "crawl" up your back.Pockets on hips large enough for phone, or a couple of snacks, yet small enough that they don't abrade the inside of your forearms. Pockets on shoulder straps fits hand sanitizer. Fits enough gear for changing temperatures/altitude/conditions and "essentials" on daylong trips.
I got this backpack to replace a Platypus brand 9L hydration pack that could hold a 3L reservoir that I'd loved to death. I wanted a trail running pack that was even more durable, and like most everything from Osprey above their most entry level it's very well-made and likely to last a long time. But at the same time, I find myself feeling that the features (helmet loop, tons of straps, lots of extra pockets) of the Talon line might have been overkill.In retrospect, the Skarab (which I couldn't find much about) or a biking hydration pack could have been a better fit at this size, and lower total price (with bladder) without losing durability. But if you are sure to use all the bells and whistles and pockets, it's certainly a solid bag.
I bought this pack with the intent of usine as a smaller pack for commuting to work; as I also have the Osprey synchro 20. However the Talon is the same height as the Syncho and therefore not as minimus for a 11 litre pack as I anticipated. For this reason only I returned. However still highly recommend Osprey pack for quality and comfort.
After approximately 6 careful uses, the brand logo (printed on the front of the backpack) disappeared almost completely, leaving the backpack with an unpleasant appearance and with the idea that it is a low quality product. This is not the idea I had of Osprey products...
I received this pack but unfortunately had to return because the length was about 3 inches short on me, despite the xl size description as fitting my torso length. I have a larger volume version of this model which has a very useful shoulder strap Velcro adjustment feature, which I set to the longest possible position, making it a good fit, three belt buckle rides lower about two and half to three inches below my belly button which allows me to sinch up the belt and put any whieght on my hips without pressure on my abdomen. I cannot do that with this pack, despite the fact that the torso fit lists it as same as the larger model. Osprey was probably trying to save weight. But if you can’t use it, it doesn’t matter how light it is !15 years ago I had no problems ... It is a beautiful and light backpack, but I had two problems with it. The first one is that I was under the impression this will help my back sweat a little bit less, but that does not happen, making sense since I sweat buckets.the second one was the dealbreaker, and I used it twice, both times I adjusted the backpack to come up on my waist ()back, but it moved back down, and I have a backache, so this was not for me
I use this bag every day for the last few years, its wearing pretty well nothing has broken with a lot of heavy use and hardly any signs of age yet. Ideal for work, hike or holiday. Great all round day bag small enough to always have on you and not feel encumbered with anything to excessive. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and would buy again once mine becomes past repair or uncomfortable due to age.
