Osprey’s Talon Velocity 20 is a multi-sport pack with a 20-litre capacity. The design incorporates a running vest-style harness and a flexible back panel to give a comfortable carry that doesn’t restrict movement. You can use it for everything from hiking and running through to skiing. The roomy main compartment has a top cinch closure system that allows compression to stabilise and streamline the load. Fully featured, you’ll also find a helmet compatible stash pocket, a Stow-on-the-Go pole holder, and an external hydration sleeve. The carry system maintains access to snacks and essentials when you’re on the move. The front pockets can fit two 500ml soft flasks and a phone, while the hip belt includes a zipped pocket and an open pocket for gels or bars. Maximising flexibility without sacrificing stability, the padded BioStretch harness and hip belt feature spacermesh over die-cut foam for a comfortable, breathable contact surface.

Perfect for all sorts of hiking or trail running. Fits well with a huge amount of adjustability and lots of useful pockets. It's also highly water resistant.

A nice light weight day pack with a lot of storage options. I really like the extra pockets on the chest harness. Being able to see in the big deep front pocket is nice for all the quick access things you need. The pack carries the weight comfortably and I usually pack heavy. Only used it a couple of times so far, but so far so good!

I used mine on a 10-mile day hike with 2,000 feet of elevation gain, including some 4-point scrambling and some bushwacking. The pack felt very light, extremely comfortable and convenient (numerous external pockets are readily accessible), carrying a load of about 10 pounds. There was more than adequate space to carry pretty much anything I would need on a long (10 to 15-mile) day hike.Concerns: I am concerned that all that exposed stretchy material & webbing would get pulled while bushwacking, possible loss of elasticity over time on the sternum strap cords and whether I would really use the 2-500ml soft-flask pockets. A couple minor nitpicks include: the trekking pole connector kept rubbing the inside of my arm, the vertical opening on the webbed side pockets ... Love this pack, versatility and utility of a trail running pack but durability and structure of a day sack. A little heavy for general trail running but ideal for longer days moving fast in the mountains or light weight overnight adventures (depending on your set up)Used it recently for a couple of scrambles in North Wales and it kept the load balanced and close to the body with easy access to all the essentials.
Most comfortable back pack I have ever worn . I love the running harness style straps. If you're looking for a super light weight day hiker look no further :) I'm 6'0 - 190lbs the XL version fits me like a glove. I loved it so much I ordered 2 more packs from Osprey .
Very comfortable osprey velocity 20 L xl-l. I wish to get 30 L but it’s sold out .
