The specifications shown up here are wrong, the lights are actually 7W 630lm. Cheaper to run than halogen but but much less bright, not even close to 80W traditional gloves like they say on the package. You'll be fine for a living room, not as much in a kitchen.

These are amongst the brightest GU10 you can get at the moment and in theory, good value. However, one has only lasted a few months before it started to flicker and then after that, a few days later, it will only turn on at a very dim output level. Two of them have done this and I fear it's only a matter of time before the third does the same soon. Their claim of 15,000 hrs is way off considering I don't have these on 24 7 and it's not even close to a year old.

Bought a couple of 5 packs today with a discount to reduce my leccy bill.Great price and fantastic compared to the halogen equivalents. The light is a bright, cool light which is good for the kitchen and bathroom where the halogen was more yellowy.Good for distinguishing bits in both kitchen and bathroom scenarios!Highly recommended and should save a bit of money in the long run.

Bought this few weeks ago. Nowhere in the product description says that it cannot be installed in "closed or very tight fixtures". It is written in very samall letters on the outside of the package. Noticed only after installing it in a tight fixture.
Unfortunately this is a low quality product, as others have mentioned, bought six of these, two failed within a few weeks, another two failed in 6 months. My observed average life is well under 1,000 hours, not 25,000. This is a big difference. As per the Australian consumer guarantee, this product fails to meet advertised expectations. I shall be returning the product for a refund.
The light output from the original halogen bulbs was marginal and I considered changing the whole installation. The new LED bulbs have both a slightly increased light output and being cool white are more appropriate for the kitchen. I also purchased two cool white 80W equivalent LEDs GU10 bulbs for two locations where I needed still more light output. My kitchen lighting is now good so I have saved a lot of money by not needing to replace the existing installation.
Review for item Osram #4058075587397 / AC32226. Bunnings item number 0298677. Purchased Feb '23. I bought these because I needed a good quality Dimmable spot light. The well balanced colour and wide 60 degree dispersion gives natural lighting in my bathroom. Although there are some brighter lamps on the market, this lamp is an excellent choice for dimming. I suggest to look at the product information in store. The description on the website seems to be out of date because it says they are Non-Dimmable. However the product packaging states they ARE dimmable, and were perfect for what I wanted.
Love these lights! They are so crisp and white - ideal for the kitchen. I decided to update the bulbs in my house to save energy costs. At 4000 lumens I can turn them down by 50% using the dimmer switch for most tasks so fingers crossed this will help.
Robert Dyas are my 'go to supplier' for LED bulbs. I usually choose Osram, simply because they are a quality brand that, so far, have never let me down. These are no exception. They may not be the cheapest, but they case a clean, warm white beam, and are dimmable using most standard dimmer switches. Robert Dyas often do a decent promotion on Osram products - keep an eye out!
I bought these because I wanted to use with a Legrand HPM 400T Trailing edge dimmer.I confirmed they are NOT suitable for Dimming. It seems like there is some internal ballast that controls current draw making the dimming very uneven. I was forced to change to the 5.5W Osram version with less brightness, only 380lm (Part #4058075587397 / AC32226).There is also an error in decription where it states the colour temp is 6500k, not correct. These are 3000k "Warm white" which is pretty nice IMO for domestic interior settings.
