They are way brighter than most stock halogens, not white white but do have a good range of light especially on most dark roads I drive on and certainly the quality is there in the build

I have tried laser ultra bright lamps in the past (not Osram) and while definitely brighter they have not lasted very long. The Osram Nightbreaker Silver appear to be marketed as a general upgrade replacement, brighter than standard with a reasonable life expectancy and this is exactly what I am hoping for. I cannot say how long they will last, but I can say they appear to be well made, fit well (a necessity as underbonnet room is often limited) and well packed as a duo box which can be safely tucked away ready for use. Physically the glass is plain, no blue tint, with a silver cap. I use these for dip beam only in a lens type reflector headlight, there is a definite improvement over the standard bulbs with improved brightness and colour rendition of roadside ... MoreI have tried laser ultra bright lamps in the past (not Osram) and while definitely brighter they have not lasted very long. Sadly, no difference to standard bulbs. As the headlight reflector & lens are still the same, its impossible to get a difference in beam pattern simply by changing the bulbs, so these bulbs give a light over exactly the same area as the standard bulbs. No idea how they can claim this extra reach, as its just not true. However, as a direct replacement for standard bulbs, they are fine - but just dont expect them to do anything thats claimed - if you see a difference, its all in your head.

These slightly higher performance bulbs probably don't last as long as lower power bulbs but extra light equals extra heat so probably we should expect this
I bought a set of this bulbs on the 4th of March 2021 and I had them fitted to my car a few weeks after. The first one blew off in May 2022 and the second one on 12th of September 2022. Basically, they only lasted ONE year and a few months. I would like to specify that I have chosen the SILVER version (which is the less powerful one) because Osram claims that they would last almost like the standard ones, but it's not true! The lifetime of those bulbs is very short and therefore they are not worth the money. I had them also on my previous car and they only lasted over one year! I will never buy them again!
The bulbs are definitely brighter than standard and do light up the road a liitle further ahead as per spec. Do not expected the +100% more light to give a huge benefit. I bought these for the extra light with a reasonable long usage. The more brighter bulbs come with great shorter life. So for me these bulbs for me are a good all round compromise. After some initial use at night I am happy with the purchase for the light level, life expectancey will only be proved with time. Previously I used Osram +50% bulbs. Happy with +50% which still worked after many years and sold with car.. So hope +100% bulbs do the same.
Spot on! Exactly what I wanted... Good light, roadsigns/ markings brighter sooner, not a silly colour, or blinding to other drivers... I had the previous silverstar 2.0 which were great too...
Good price for a quality bulb, from past experience these bulbs have a good lifespan oe fitment on many cars in the past.
These bulbs are excellent, they are very bright with a clear bulb pattern. You can see things better and much further away than with normal bulbs. A quality product from an industry leading company.
Good quality lamps, as a reasonable price point, have used before and they last well too. Shame there is so much plastic in the packaging.
