My 19-year-old son has a slight case of Aspbergers, which is now called autism spectrum disorder. He wanted one of these ostrich pillows and I bought it as a joke gift for him. It turned out to be very useful. He just puts it on when he's feeling the world is too much, and he says it is very comforting. He has a stressful job in Silicon Valley. He takes a lot of power naps using the ostrich pillow.The pillow appears to be extremely well made and very soft and lightweight.We liked the Edgar Cayce quote on the carrying bag.The thing was expensive and it looks ridiculous though!

I received this as a Christmas gift from a dear friend -- she knows I love to nap. I just tried it today. I put my head in my Ostrich, laid it on my desk and slept soundly for 45 minutes....the only uncomfortable part was my hands fell asleep. I'll have to adjust my position so that doesn't happen in the future. It's a fabulous pillow. Not sure I"d buy it myself (price is too high) but it's a tremendous gift!!

To make this usable it should have twice the amount of filling as the photos would show. The reality is a semi-filled floppy bag that means you need to shift the beads around to make it slightly useful. All for $150!!Very disappointing.
When the Ostrich Pillow first arrived home, I thought I will never wear it... until I tried it!!!!!! Now I cannot live without it! I love to use to take a quick nap at the office, even when my workmates laugh at me all the time, and also on the weekends, to take a nap in my couch! If you haven't tried, you should!!!!! ;)
I noticed this pillow last year on the news, and thought to order it for travel overseas to use on the plane to sleep at least 8 hours. I did not, and yes, I very much regretted it as I tried to rest on a pillow I brought along with me and then had to carry all over Europe. Now, our child who craves to sleep in every morning,will be travelling to school very early on a 70 minute schoolbus ride . I knew immediately that this pillow is the answer for our daughter on her bus when it's early in the morning, dark outside, travelling tired 70 minutes to school. Whether the others will laugh, it's ok. Personally I would hate this pillow, but it's for my grandson and its the perfect pillow to him. So I'm happy because he is HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.
The pillow is as-pictured. It is just nothing more. Meaning it is too pricey for how simple it is. Would not expect it to wear well.
