I have had OtterBox cases on my iPhones since the iPhone 3. When I was purchasing a new phone, my first thought was “I need a new case”. I had the Nüüd case for my previous phone and when I received the Defender series case I was disappointed. The case does not feel secure with only the rubber bumper holding in the top plastic piece. It was reasonably easy to install, with the same frustrations as putting a fitted sheet onto a bed where you get one side set and the other pops back out. Overall I am disappointed with the quality and the product standards that I have come to know and love from the LifeProof/OtterBox brand. I do think this will be my last case purchased here.

Been a fan of otter box for many years with many iPhones. Bought this one for me new iPhone 14, 20days ago. From the beginning it seamed to come unseated very easily. Had my kids put it back together for me assuming it was just me. Goes in well but every time I take it out of my pocket now, it’s not fully seated again.Maybe just a one off, maybe it’s me but still leaving me disappointed.

I replaced a Fre case with this one because I found the Fre to be VERY slippery. This is closer to the Defender I used to have on my old phone. The edge rubber is sufficiently grippy and the clear back gives you enough friction as well. Warning that it will not sit flat on its back. The camera bumper does stick out 1-2mm from the rest of the case. This could be much worse, but it will rock a little on its back if you press the upper left edge. I know some folks had issues getting the case apart/together. Be careful taking it apart, I found it easiest to start at the power port and work my way around to keep from overbending the plastic frame. When getting it back together, I used a plastic wedge to hold back the rubber since it is very stiff.
