Detangles well at first but made breakage worse

At first I like this. It helped get some initial tangles out of my hair. For reference, I have fine bleached hair that I am trying to recover from a lot of breakage and hair loss post COVID. As soon as I started to let my hair dry though, my hair started tangling even more and it felt sticky and heavy. I also have seborrheic dermatitis and this leave-in conditioner made my scalp soooo itchy and greasy I had to wash it in 2 days versus my normal 4 in order to get the gunk out of my hair. The smell is also not the most pleasant either. I definitely had more hair break off after trying to comb my hair after using this product so I feel it has contributed to more breakage. Fine curly haired love

Not only is the smell incredible, but this leaves my hair feeling wonderful too. My hair is SUPER fussy and I have a stash of hair products that could stock a shop... but this love affair with Ouai started with a sample, it's so lovely when that actually works out! I snagged this as part of the 'better together' bundle (I was sceptical...see the point about fussy hair!) Great detangler and treatment

I find this a great leave-in conditioner for getting out knots and helping manage frizz.I have long hair which has fine strands but very thick in quantity which knots badly. It’s not curly but has waves which result in knots. Recently lots of breakage (probably from hair being up almost if the time). Bought this after a recommendation from a sales assistant in the Harrogate store after discussing the knots and the frizz issues caused by the broken strands. Used this pre-drying and I’ve found it much easier to brush out knots and therefore I am not breaking as many hairs or pulling them out of my head! I fell prey to that thing where you get a sample size and it seems good so you go all in but when you get the full size product it is not the same. The synthetic chemical fragrance in this product is on overload. Citronellol, Geraniol, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Citral, Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene AND "parfum" as the 5th ingredient? All of those ingredients are there solely for scent. As expected with an ingredient list like that: it smells like bug spray+.The sprayer doesn't dispense in an even mist half the time.I only apply this to mid-head down so I doesn't get on my scalp. However, I have discovered that it irritates my skin. My ponytail cannot touch my neck anymore without extreme itching. My First Leave-In Conditioner & I LOVE it!!

I had never used a leave-in conditioner because I have fine hair and I always imagined it making it greasy or weighed down. This stuff is amazing. It detangles and it makes my hair feel soooo soft and moisturized. I use it along with an argan oil and the Ouai heat protection spray. I only spray it about half way down, never the roots. I think it smells good (I like the Ouai scents) and it makes my hair feel and smell fresh for days. I can go 3-4 days without a wash and some dry shampoo. Ouai seriously keeps my hair fresh WAY longer than other brands I have tried.I have lower chest length fine wavy hair with lots of frizz. My hair is extremely dense, I have a lot of it. I haven't ever had my hair feel and look so sleek and healthy. I bought this because I was looking for a leave in conditioner that could be sprayed onto the hair and would also act as a heat protector.It fulfils those criteria which is great. However, in contrast to some other products, this does make my hair feel quite heavy and greasy. For instance, if I run my fingers through my hair post styling with this product, they do come away with a light residue which was a bit of a surprise - the hair is greasier post wash and style than pre! Although it is possible that it isn't too compatible with my hair type I suppose.The smell of this is divine though. It smells distinctive and does soften the hair significantly. If I could achieve a sleek shine I'd use this all the time. I have very frizzy, very thick, dry, curly Irish hair, and so my hair generally drinks up any product I put on it - meaning my hair never feels weighed down by product. I can usually leave normal conditioner/masks in my hair without problem, and let it dry with my hair. However, this product (even tho I used sparingly) made my hair so sticky and gross, it felt like I had put some sort of glue in it. It's also perfumed to a level where I was struggling to fall asleep, because the entire room smelled like perfume. The spray is also annoying, because even if you did want to use more (which I don't reccommend) its very weak in its distribution. A huge let-down, as I don't feel like it has nourished my hair either. I prefer to spray it into the palm of my hand a few times and then work through my hair. I didn't find it worked very well as a detangler, maybe because I don't like to apply too much. The reason I would not recommend this product is because of the VERY STRONG scent. It really does "knock you over," and that's applying just a small amount. If you have any issues with migraines or headaches from fragrances, I would highly suggest avoiding this hair product. The scent does dissipate after awhile but it's definitely still there at the end of the day. I don't understand why companies find it necessary to make products with such overpowering scents. want to like it, did nothing for 3b

I wanted to love this because it did make my hair super soft and easy to detangle, but I have 3b curls and it did pretty much nothing past the initial styling. My hair is halfway down my back (5’5’) and I had to use about 1/7 of the bottle to get all my strands coated lol and trust me, I know not to weigh down my hair with conditioner. This product is just super lightweight and I think far more suitable for Caucasian hair. I gave it to a white friend with curls that have the same shape as mine but finer texture, and she loved it.
