I played both Overcooked games during the last generation and had an absolute blast. The gameplay is best experienced with your friends and family while yelling at each other to "get out of the way." This series is one of the best party/couch co-op games available anywhere. Unfortunately, there's a bug that makes the couch co-op completely unplayable on the Xbox Series X/S - which is the whole point of these games. You cannot use multiple controllers with multiple XBox profiles - the game just simply won't let you add multiple players with correct controller assignments. If you somehow get lucky enough to get your entire party in (we've experienced problems with both 2 and 3 players), the game will crash back to the main menu anytime an achievement pops. Judging by the posts on Reddit, Twitter and a few other gaming sites - I'm not the only one with these issues. Judging by the support articles I've seen, they've known about this issue since launch and have done nothing to fix it. I love this series, but I can't recommend anyone buy this compilation (for Series X) until the developers fix these issues. If you're planning on just playing yourself...everything seems to function as intended. But all of the joy of couch co-op is completely missing.

Excellent family game for the living room! Overcooked is a casual yet intense multiplayer game where you sometimes want to throw the controller out the window, not literally. The cool part about the this version is that it includes the whole series + all the DLCs. The character are cute, the gameplay is challenging and addictive. Best of all is you can play with any friends online cross platform. This will go down the history as a classic for the PS5 and XBOX series X/S era!

If you own the previous 2 games and the DLCs, it’s really not worth buying this game for just the extra content (Ever Peckish Rising), which is only 7 stages. I don’t really care for updated graphics, because let’s be real, the game is too chaotic for anyone to notice ooooh the tomatoes look prettier that before. It doesn’t really add to the gameplay experience. The loading times are still horrendous compared to Steam/Xbox. There are some levels that are very glitchy. (Ex: In Ever Peckish Rising 2-2, after falling off the stage, the cooking progress bar would sometimes disappear and you can’t pick up stuff. This continued to happen even after restarting the level...and restarting the Switch).AYCE might be worth getting if you don’t already own the previous 2 ... MoreIf you own the previous 2 games and the DLCs, it’s really not worth buying this game for just the extra content (Ever Peckish Rising), which is only 7 stages. Every piece of overcooked content in one delightful package. I expected a boost in quality with the 4k enhancement but the team did so much more with additional textures to every dish. The onion soup isnt just an orange puddle. Now you can actually see the diced onions floating to the top of the broth. It's never looked so good. Wish they added haptics to the controller sadly they just utilize the speaker but still incredible package.
Great product to buy if you like to buy games digitally and want to earn Best Buy Points. Great family game to have, you have to work together and constantly communicate. You could also play solo if you want. Very fun. This consists of Overcooked 1 and 2 combined and give you all the characters so that's a plus.

You get all of the content from both the first two Overcooked! games, while getting a spiffy graphical upgrade and smoother performance! I found the soundtrack catchy, and the accessibility options deserve a special mention, as well. Those who have bought any Overcooked! games before may very well feel a bit hard done, though, as they don't get the graphic/performance updates nor the new free DLC this game got. Also, going for the top ratings on the levels can be pretty tense, so someone may end up unleashing their inner Gordon Ramsay in the heat of battle! All in all, this is the king of the co-operative multiplayer genre and highly recommended!
