I was not satisfied with the chip clips on Amazon. I found these clips to be of quality, food-safe, and cute. I purchase two pairs. Very useful in the pantry. I never had any of these break and had them for about a couple of years.

Love these bag clips. They are sturdy and wide. Based on construction, I expect them to last a long time. Mor vendors are switching from delivering product in jars to zip lock bags. Unfortunately, the zipper frequently detaches from the bag so you have no seal. The bag material used for these products may be too thick and stiff for flimsy bag clips to deal with. The spring is strong enough to keep even the thicker, stiffer bags closed.

I use them for chips, seasoning envelopes, powdered sugar bags, brown sugar bags, and on and on. I’ve even gotten tired of my hair in my face, so I used one as a hair clip!!! Of course I disinfect them routinely.
These clips are very well designed and are constructed to a high level of quality. They have a very strong spring to ensure a great seal, but the lever design still makes them easy to open. The silicone contact strip really helps to keep the clip from slipping off, which actually allows you to use the clip as a grab handle.
I bought these before because they felt far stronger that the typical flat plastic bag clips found elsewhere. Bought more later because my inclination proved correct. I only wish this style came in a smaller size vs the narrow clip style of the same silicone material that BBB now carries.
I use these to close stockings for the servicemen overseas. We stuff the stockings with decorations, snacks and toiletries. They in turn reuse the clips for their use over there.
These grips are sturdy and grip very well. Other brands seem to break easily. I own many of these and never had to throw out one due to breakage or of them being worn out. OXO makes very good products.
My husband mocked me a little for spending this much money on more bag clips, but these blow all the others out of the water. Like most things OXO makes, they are very sturdy. All the other ones I've had over the years end up breaking or the two plastic pieces separate as the spring part moves around. These are great; I have had none of those issues with these. I am tempted to throw all my other ones out and buy another set of these, plus the 9-piece assorted set.
We usually don't eat whole bags of chips or an entire loaf of bread - that means you're going to have seal them back up to keep them fresh. These clips are simply too easy a solution. That also goes for their smaller siblings - the cinch clips. Once you start using those - you'll never again be content with twist ties.
