Was looking for a easy to use, easy to store cutting board. The OXO Utility Cutting board is sturdy, double sided, easy to clean and easy to store.One side is smooth making it simple to transfer from cutting board to bowl or pot. The other side has a grove around the outer perimeter which prevents leakage on the counter when cutting juicy things such as tomatoes.The grips at the ends are tapered for ease in picking the board up from the counter. The even added feet to keep the board slightly elevated.I generally use multiple cutting matts while preparing meals. Since getting the OXO Utility Cutting Board I just cut, flip, clean and reuse.

I must admit, OXO gave me this cutting board in an exchange for an honest review.I like the fact that it is a decent size(14 1/2 inches by 10 1/2). Plus the fact it is dishwasher friendly.I have a larger wooden cutting board that I like, but is problematic to get really clean after use.This one fits right on top of my wood board and I can do my prep work in the same space.The OXO board is hard plastic. One side is totally flat for cutting and the other side has channels cut out of it to catch any juices that may run off if you're slicing meats.On both sides there are raised little "feet", that prevent the board from sliding around while working, which is a good thing with sharp objects in play.The best feature for me, is that fact I can just put it in ... The black rubbery ends of the board have small feet (on both sides) that that the board sits just above the table when you put it down. This is nice if I've already cut on that side and left crumbs because I didn't have to worry about it laying flat. One side of the board is just a smooth cutting surface, easy to scrape my cut veggies off the board and into the pan. Alternatively, I can flip the board over and use the side with a well around the edges that will catch all the juices of my tomatoes and keep them from running onto my countertop. I received this board and right out of the box, I knew it was going to be a great product. I really like the weight of the board. Some boards are really heavy and others are too light. This has a good weight to it, so it's not sliding all over your countertop.I love the grooves on the side that catch water. My other board didn't have that feature and so much water would end up on my countertops. I also love the grips on the edges. It helps when pulling out from the drying rack.The product overall feels like it's great quality. It's simple, yet well thought of for the kitchen chef. Planning to get a second one to replace my other board as I like to have one for my meat and one for my product. Overall, very happy with this product. Met all my needs.

The OXO Utility Cutting Board performs as you would expect. The size is just right for a countertop and the surface has tapered edges, for easy lifting. I especially appreciated the double sided feature- allowing different items to be chopped without cross contamination.After one week of use there are no visible signs of wear or scratches to the surface. Cleanup was extremely simple as the cutting board is dishwasher safe.I have been a huge fan of OXO products for years and this cutting board does not disappoint however I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars because even though it claims to be non-slip, there was a bit of slippage on my granite countertop. There was no movement once I began to chop, however so I do heartily recommend this product.

I bought this months ago & thought it was great, so I bought another one for our summer home. I have better/sharper knives there. The board got gashes in it from the first use. I thought I had received a used board because how can cutting an apple or peach cause gashes? Carving meat was even worse! The grooves for collecting juices & the size are the only positives. I’ve had cutting boards—wooden & plastic—for 30-40 years that look newer than this new one. I won’t buy another.
