We are disappointed in the design change for the OXO Good Grips Grater/Slicer. The previous style (not very old) was at a slant. There are notches in the slanted container that helps to hold the grater devices in place. The new device has made the container all even, and doesn't have good notches to hold the grater devices in place very well. So,....the grater devices can pop out when grating with them. The first design of a slanted container was much, much better! Please make those again!

I purchased a Grate and Slice Set quite sometime ago for my kitchen. Love the way the blades and handle fit so nicely in the container, very compact. The blades are very sharp, makes grating and slicing quick and efficient. It's bright and colorful! Recently purchased two more Grate and Slice Sets for Christmas gifts for my two sons. They thought it was a very nice gift and are also looking forward to using them. I highly recommend this product!

Works on basically anything. Cheese, veggies, you name it. Juliennes carrots, grates cheese, slices things.You can change the plate which fits into the box, which catches everything. Very tidy. And packed together for storage (It all fits inside the box of course) it takes up a VERY small space for all the work it can do!Solid pieces, nice and sturdy.The box is non-skid, don't tell me you don't need that.Washes up in a flash too.I can't think of any 'cons' about this set.It's great for anyone - someone with a small kitchen? Someone downsizing? A beginning cook? Someone with a camper? Someone with an overwhelming need to grate and slice?

I use the large hole grater almost every day. The box makes it easy to use, and most often holds just the right amount. The measure lines on the box disappeared very quickly. from washing in the dishwasher.They were helpful but that doesn't take away from the easy use of the product. Have at one time or another used all the other pieces. WAs worth getting all of them.
Does everything you need it to. Easy to store and clean. Better than a mandolin. Looks funky too. RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED.
When out box grater broke apart, We thought we'd simply replace it. Doing a little research, realizing we needed to see/feel it, we went to B, B, & Beyond. There it was. No longer will we struggle to clean the inside of the box grater. Working on a horizontal surface is more efficient as well. Built in catcher bin leaves the counter top clean. Very smart design.
Have had this grater set for 5+ years, and the plastic finally started to give out around the edges of the metal grating plates. But it has been heavily used, so it's time to replace it. Love having slice, julienne, and two grating coarseness options in one compact tool.
I bought this product because it is a great idea. You can contain the shavings, you have multiple blades for various uses and it has a hand protector. What's not to like?The reality of it at least for me is that I produce faster results with the cheese grater I purchased at IKEA which has a double grating edge so when the cheese slides up and down, you grate twice as fast in both directions and it's very effective. This cheese grater slides only in one direction, the cheese chunk hangs up on it a lot and breaks into big pieces rather than small shavings. It's actually a pain to use and it makes a bigger mess on the outside of the container itself. BTW, I use real Italian imported parmesan cheese, if that means anything.I haven't tried the other blades yet but so ... MoreI bought this product because it is a great idea. I wanted a slicer that was adjustable for thickness. This is for thin slices. It works great and I love the “finger saver” to use when it gets close to cutting part. Although I didn’t really need the graters, I will probably use them. The blades on all are Very sharp. I like that too. Still searching for adjustable slicer but this works very nicely for what it is.
I purchased this because of its low price point, with decent reviews. NOT WORTH IT! The grip on the base does not hold, causing difficulty holding the base in place while utilizing the slicer. The spikes on the piece that holds the cheese or produce to be sliced or shredded are too small and do not grip well at all. Result? Non-stable base with unreliable grip on food to be processed. Two sizes of grater blades is a good idea, but not able to be used due to instability. Did not use julienne. Slicing is only one thickness and again, NOT STABLE.The only upside: stores well.
