This product is excellent and really does work. Ever since I was a kid with braces, I would never eat corn on the cob the traditional way. I always had my mother shave it down with a knife. I do remember it wasn’t the safest way to do it and the kernels fly all over the place. This would have been a good find all those years back. It does a great job at removing the kernels and even leaves long strips of corn attached together, which I love. The kernels do fly all around though. A simple fix, get two bowls of different sizes, flip the smaller size bowl into the larger bowl, put the cob on top of the small bowl and start peeling. The kernels fall into the bowl and not on the counter. A good kitchen hack I heard a few years back that works.

Over the years, we've tried all kinds of corn gadgets that were always hectic to use, but this OXO peeler takes away all the frustration that comes with stripping corn cobs with XOX corn prep peeler it was extremely easy to get all the corn off. The head of this peeler is curved so it follows the shape of the cob so as you press down to strip the corn you very little resistance making removal effortless. The Japanese stainless steel blades won’t rust and are very sharp. After years of fightijg, and cuttin fingers I totally recommend XOX GG CORN PEELER. Dishwasher-safe and wont rust.

It easily and safely peels off the corn kernel from the cob. Is made with Japanese Stainless Steel that won't rust. Has a comfortable grip handle. Is ddishwasher safe.This Corn Prep Peeler is a really great addition to my kitchen! It is easy to use and removes the Corn from the cob without any issues. Love this! My 7/8 year old kiddos have been losing/growing their front teeth so they have been wanting their corn cut off the cob. Our family eats corn on the cob weekly so it's been a hassle (not to mention dangerous) to cut the kernels off with a knife like I usually do. My 12 year old was able to do this for his siblings as well when he was helping with dinner! that's how easy it works. I also love that the design is slim so it doesn't take up much space in my untensils drawer.
I love this product. Oxo has created a wonderful way to remove corn kernels. Takes the entire kernel. Sharp enough to glide through and remove right down to the cob. Use a bowl to capture the kernels as they fall off the cob. I did not encounter many "flying" kernels, so my work area stayed clean. I was happy that it did not destroy the kernels but cut cleanly. Easy to use and clean.
I've never owned a corn cutter before and I have always wanted one. I have a few crowns on my front teeth and having those, I can not bite from things like corn on the cob. That is sad because I actually like corn on the cob. With this I was pleased that I can cut the corn without having to use a knife. It was a little bit complicated but after I got the basic idea of it, I was impressed and it really helped a lot to cut better then a steak knife.
Really useful little tool if you use a lot of fresh corn. I really only need to use this in the summer when it's corn season where I live, but it definitely makes things easier than just using a sharp knife on the cobs held over a large bowl. This tool works well and cuts back on spraying corn juice or kernels all over the place, like they usually do when using a knife. It's also a lot safer! I'm not huge on one-use gadgets so that's the only real con here.
Very rarely am I often impressed by a single-use kitchen tool but this has to be the exception. This tool is absolutely AMAZING and does an incredible job taking the corn kernels off the ears. It glides with sharp precision and helps make eating corn less of a chore. It takes the kernels off in long strands which can be easily broken up and turned into sides, salads and soups. It's also easy to clean and dishwasher safe. I've used it every 3-4 days for the past few months trying to take full advantage of summer corn which is in season and will be gifting this very item to numerous friends and family.
The OXO Good Grips Corn Prep Peeler is a must have for anyone who makes corn on the cobb and likes to remove it off the cobb. I love fresh corn but hate getting it stuck in my teeth from eating it on the cobb so I always peel mine off. This getting annoying using a knife and doing 4 sides then going back to do the "corners" that get missed. So I found this peeler for corn and it works great because it has a curved blade to fit the shape of the corn. It is comfortable to hold and makes quick work of each cobb.
