I Love This Scale. Started Tracking Macros Recently And I Love Using This Scale. Even Though It's Small (Which Makes It Easy To Take To Work With Me Too) The Pull Out Digital Face Is Really Nice. Not Ever Using A Scale Before, I Was Worried This Would Be Too Small But I Haven't Reached It's Threshold Yet By A Long Shot And It's Super Easy To Tare The Weight And Just Keep Adding Food To The Bowl (Like Making A Salad With Meats And Other Toppings).

This is my second OXO food scale. (I broke my previous one when it fell from the counter.) This brand has won America's Test Kitchen award several years running. Truth be told I prefer my previous OXO scale that had a higher weight limit but everyone was sold out. This one has a limit of 230 grams. When baking bread that requires 700 grams of flour, I have to tare it several times but the extra step is not onerous. Plus about this scale v.s. one size larger is that this one is smaller thus easier to store. I was very pleased that Ace, one of the local stores carried it so I could do my small part to support local businesses.

I absolutely love this OXO digital scale! I used an older manual food scale for years and this is a great upgrade. This one is extremely sturdy and well made, it doesn’t feel cheap. I love that I can measure in grams, lbs, oz and kg all in one and can cycle through with a touch of a button. The buttons are easy to press and very responsive to touch- no effort needed. I have checked this against my manual scales and it’s extremely accurate. To top it off, it’s super slim and takes up very little room and my cabinet. I appreciate that it’s backlight so it’s easy to read in every lighting situation even when my kitchen is super sunny. Scales are a must if you do a lot of baking. Like most scales, this one has a pounds to kilogram and ounces to gram conversion. As well as a zero tare setting.It also has a backlighted readout, which is a nice feature to have.But, the main reason to get this scale, is because of the pullout feature of thedisplay. Now you can use a large bowl and still see the readout easily. Just give the display a small pull and it slides out a couple of inches exposing the readout from under the bowl.It maybe a little more expensive to buy this scale, but if you do a lot of baking or bread making, it will make life a little easier in the prep work.
This OXO scale is perfect for measuring ingredients by weight. It has two ways to zero out -- when you first turn it on, it starts a 3-2-1 countdown so you can place your bowl or measuring cup and the weight then automatically starts at 0; or, if you miss the countdown, you can place it on the scale and then press the power/zero button to reset to 0. I like being able to measure in grams, and this scale is sensitive enough to do that precisely. It also has an auto shut-off in case you forget to turn it off. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's great!

I absolutely LOVE my OXO SoftWorks 5Lb Food Scale with Pull Out Display. The scale has a small footprint so it doesn't take up much room at all. It is really simple to use as well. I do suggest keeping the quick set up guide handy for the first use or two. But it is seriously very easy to use! The Zero Out feature really makes measuring multiple ingredients in quick succession very efficient. I use this scale multiple times a day, almost every single day! This thing works great! I use it for shipping small items. Prior to purchasing I read reviews that it doesn’t have an automatic “off” function and that people were going through batteries quickly. All you need to do is hold down the power button for a few seconds and it turns off. I’ve never had a battery issue.
