This works well but occasionally sugar grinds will get stuck between the spout opener. Overall, I prefer this over the dollar store sugar dispensers. When you pour over hot coffee, the flap gets sticky with sugar which keeps it from closing. I do recommend.

Air Flow

OXO storage products are amazing and I use them for my pantry due to the air lock storage is perfect for where I live. Its an area where we are surrounded by sand. I'm sure you know what that means, Ants. I enjoy your product although this piticular one I purchased for my sugar isn't the best for me. I filled it half way with sugar to later find ants in the container. I than noticed the small air Crack at the bottom where the sugar dispense from. This one product was just not for me.

Good looking and works fairly well

Purchased to use with demerara sugar, because the spout was bigger than the previous dispenser, but it got clogged constantly anyhow. Dispenser used with fine sugar now, but the pouring spout still gets clogged, just not daily. I clean it each time I refill. I'm not sure if there is a sugar dispenser out there that wouldn't require that, other than a sugar bowl. This is the best one I've found.

It does what it's supposed to do

I recently became a coffee drinker and have to have my cream and sugar. I was tired of pouring from the sugar bag but wanted something cute. This is simple and gives me that old diner feeling. It fits in the pantry and is a versatile and simple enough design it works with any kitchen.The one complaint i have is that sugar gets in the threading so if you refill it make sure to remove the cap over the sink or a trash can so you don't spill anything on your countertop.Other than that it works well!

Love this product - but have issues with it too!

I love some things about this dispenser and am not happy about others...Pros: cute, easy to fill and dispense, pour spout closes completely between use. Needs to be bigger!!!Cons: The specs for this item say it is 8 inches high. Not true. It is 5 inches high. I use it for creamer and want to get two more - one for sugar and another for a creamer backup. It is small and I need to fill every three or four days. When refilling, have to be careful with spills - creamer gathers around opening as you unscrew it. I open it over my coffee cup so the powder goes into my cup instead of the counter or floor!

OXO did not disappoint

I had been patiently awaiting the restock of this sugar dispenser at my local store. It was worth the wait! It is air tight with a secure closing mechanism. It looks very expensive sitting on my table. I have purposely knocked it over several times to ensure sugar wouldn’t escape from its opening or the opening popping open, passed the test. Sugar remains fresh. It is large enough that it doesn’t require constant refills. Yet perfect size to fit comfortably in your hand. Stylish enough to complement your coffee bar or baking station. Great buy for the cost and workmanship especially using BBB coupons.

Perfect sugar dispenser

I don’t use a lot of sugar and needed a dispenser that would keep fresh and dry. This one is perfect as the spout seals when you close it. It’s not a very large vessel but since we use a minimal amount of sugar, it’s perfect for me. Also, it is so easy to pour into measuring spoons when using for cooking. Love it!

Pours great - Refills not so great

I received this for my wedding about 1.5 years ago. It's great when you use it - opens great, pours great, closes great. However when you need to refill it, the grooves in the dispenser catch so much sugar that when you open the top, the excess sugar gets all over the place. I need to open it over a sink in order to contain the sugar. I guess that's not the WORST thing that could happen, but I expected more of an OXO product.
