It works well. I have wanted one of these for decades. I've never had one but had used one when I worked in a milk bar when I was a teenager. I'm 61 now and I love it ! :)

Breaks in so many ways

Bought an expensive scoop from a big brand, because I wanted something quality and will last for years, oh boy was I wrong.The thumb lever bent within minutes, so I bent it back and reinforced it. Then the scraper became the weakest link and keep popping out of the shaft. Okay I'll just use it as a regular scoop I thought, then the handle snapped in half.

Cheaper scoops are better.

Returned item after the first use. The metal on the thumb lever is to soft. Any resistance and the metal bends making the scoop no better than a spoon. Purchased a cheaper brand that works .

Disappointed in OXO quality

Broke after a week, the screw broke off and cannot scoop out ice cream. Useless and worthless ice cream scooper. Usually OXO products excel in durability and quality, but this ice cream scooper was not up to standard of OXO.

Does not work

Specifically got this one for the inner scooping functionality and turns out it doesn’t even work. I’d return this if I could but we’ve already “used it” and threw out the packaging. What a waste.

Doesn't work

Scoops poorly and the scraper doesn't do much of anything. It only goes 3/4 if the way across the scoop when the ice cream is often stuck on that last 1/4 of the scoop rendering the scraper completely useless. I wouldn't dislike it so much if it functioned properly as a plain scooper but it sucks for some reason! Don't get this one!

Faulty design

Unfortunately the scoop is worthless. If the ice cream is quite hard the thumb mechanism isn't robust enough - depressing on the mechanism causes the metal to bend. And if the ice cream is either hard or soft you have to scoop out the ice cream with your index finger.

Nice scoop!

There were 3 different brands available at my store and this one was the only one that didn't get stuck on the back swing when tested. This was a few dollars more but worth it, imo.

Poorly made

I got this as a gift. First the lever bent scooping ice cream but that was super easy to bend back.Of course that also means it bent again on the very next scoop. 3rd time using it to scoop ice cream, the whole mechanism broke. Complete garbage

Wonderful Product

Pros :The product is really awesome. The lever works very smoothly and overall it's stylish looking.Cons: The courier partner of this seller is very lousy. I had a very bad experience with Xpress bees, Vadakkencherry (Palakkad, Kerala). I am not sure about the service of Xpress bees in other places.
