These spatulas were not worth the price, especially when one exploded in my microwave. I was melting chocolate, and as I typically do, I left the spatula in the bowl. I melt chocolate in 15 second intervals, take out the bowl and stir with the spatula and put back into the microwave for another 15 second shot if the chocolate isn't fully melted. Well, imagine my surprise when I heard a load pop and opened the microwave to find the spatula had exploded. Luckily it didn't go all over but just seemed to pop with its interior threads hanging out. This has never happened in all of the years I've melted chocolate with other spatulas so needless to say these spatulas went into the trash.

I have four of these so far, and am about to order more. I use these ALL the time, LOVE having them. It comes with a heavy duty ()black), rubbery feeling plastic handle, which is easy to grip onto without slipping, designed to withstand some use and abuse. The upper section is one solid white piece. I love that it is ONE solid piece as many have the spatula itself, and then the "stick" that it attached to as separate pieces, that produce a seam when attached. That seam is a great place for food to get stuck in, a great place for bacteria to grow. I'd rather take a pass on bacteria near my food, so I love the design. This spoon spatula is slightly concave, which comes very in handy. I use this one the most out of all the silicone spatulas.I really like these silicone spatulas. They seem high quality and they're thick, so it looks like they'll last a long time. The only thing is that the heads are white, so I'm guessing that over time they'll stain and won't look as nice. I've used them for about 3 months and they're still completely white.
I bought more of these spatulas because I liked this OXO small silicone spatula so much. I have owned the original one for several years. Perfect for scraping the pan for browned butter (stiff & can be used on hot surfaces) & scraping out remnants from small bowls. Stiff enough to help with bread kneading. I scrape the bowl while folding sourdough bread with the other hand (keeps one hand clean & comes off the spatula easily--but I now use the OXO medium spatula for this larger task). Has never stained so still is nice & white. Also, the thicker, rounder handle makes it easy to manipulate & is ergonomic (no hand fatigue from grasping for long periods of time).

I have several silicone spatulas, but I needed a smaller one for different things. When I saw this one hanging on the wall, I knew I had to get it. I have not been disappointed It is small and not only can I use it for scraping out the inside of a jar, I can use it for other things around the kitchen. Then just put it in the dishwasher since it is silicone!
I bought this to replace my existing Oxo silicone spatula. I thought it was the same, but it’s not. Apparently, the ones they sell individually are rigid almost to the tip. The one I have is rigid only up to the middle, half the spoon or so is flexible. That makes it easy to scoop batter etc.. This one was not easy. I returned it. It seems the flexible one only comes in the set, with utensils I don’t need. I wrote to Oxo days ago, no response yet. I returned this spoon.
I bought this spoonula in white & loved it so much I came back & bought a red one. It is well-made, has a nice heft to it & is a real work-horse. It is not going to break down any time soon. It has just enough flex to scrape a bowl clean but enough strength to smoosh together a pie dough, or stir the stiffest of cookie doughs, etc. (I used the white one to stir an intense red food gel into cookie dough & it did NOT stain. However, I can NOT testify to its' sustainability of whiteness in an acidic tomato sauce. That's why I bought a red one!)I also love that the handle & head are all one piece so the head does not separate as does inferior spatulas.I would buy these again & again.
The flatter spatula pictured is not the one associated with the OXO model number on the site. Who knew? This wrong one is curved and thick. The flatter one works well with my Vitamix. Plus, I had 2 delivered from the store so now I have to go through a clunky process to return them. I don't know the UPC for the correct one. 🙁
