I purchased 6 of the Oxo suction hooks and have found they are strong and stay in place. I have used them in my bathrooms and they are stylish enough for anywhere else that you need a good looking hook. They are bigger than I expected but I am pleased that they stay in place not like other hooks that I have purchased in the past.

Does the job it's meant for

I really needed a place to hang an often-used hand towel in the kitchen. I really wanted a suction cup towel bar to put on the front of my farm sink. Not finding that I got this. It does the job just fine. I like that smartly added rubber tips on the end of the hook. If that wasn't there towels would probably slide right off. Smart to put the rubber tips on, which grab a cloth towel and keeps it from slipping off.

Exactly what I needed! Great holding body scrubs

I was using small suction cups to hold the body scrubs but they kept falling. I read some mixed reviews about the quality of the suction for these but I bought them anyway. They have been up for 16 days so far without any sign of the suction failing. The hold is very strong, I’ve even accidentally tugged on the hook and it held tight without an issue. I wouldn’t put a towel on this but the body scrubs are holding well. They look good too which is an added plus!

Great Product

I have a glass enclosed walk-in shower and needed a sturdy hook to place on the glass to hold a towel. This product is perfect for the job. The suction is extremely strong and holds securely to the glass even with the weight of the towel. Could not have found a better solution short of drilling holes in the wall for a towel bar, and that would not look as nice.

I like it, easy to keep clean, but

When the first one fell, I thought I did something wrong. Cleaned everything again and 4 months later, fell again. I moved and bought a new corner one, same thing. What a pain. I'll clean them again and follow instructions that are different from what I was doing, but the longest they have ever stayed on the tile is 4 months.

Rusted after a week

Nice heavy construction hook. Good suction. It seemed expensive for a suction cup hook, but I expect high quality with OXO. Unfortunately this one rusted in only a week in the shower (where it is meant to be used). Overall losing faith in a previously blue chip brand, and won’t buy again.

Rusted almost immediately

I always purchase OXO products without any complaints ... until now. I purchased the OXO Good Grips Strong Hold Suction Hook 3 months ago for use my shower. The metal hook is already rusted through. Considering this is designed for use in a bathroom I am extremely disappointed. I found an inexpensive all plastic suction hook in another big box store and it works fine. It has no metal parts therefore rusting will not be an issue.

Use ful double hook. Keeps falling down

This is a 2nd OXO suction item I have purchased and the suction on this does not work as well as on the soap dish. Perhaps my towel is too strong. I like this for its double hook and convenience however, it occasionally falls down. If your sleeping, that can be jarring. I have it mounted on glass and i like it. I would recommend it with reservation.

WORKS LIKE A CHARM

I needed hooks for my new shower - for washclothes, puffs, loofahs. At first, because the tile isn't perfectly smooth, I couldn't get the hook to stick. Turns out, it just needed a little muscle. My boys put them up. They are big and sturdy. LOVE THEM!! Highly recommend!!

Works Perfectly Well - Buying More

I only bought one based on reviews that these fall so easily. I’m not sure if it’s the surfaces people are putting them on, but there can’t be that many defective products. I didn’t read the instructions, just wet the back, put it up, and toggled the switch down to lock it in place. It’s on *clean* marble tile, and it’s currently holding two heavy bath towels. It hasn’t budged. In the video, I even pulled on it and wiggled it (not with all my might, of course) and it didn’t move. And then I realized I can’t upload a video, so that won’t help you, but the pictures show the big towels hanging from it. I really don’t understand why so many have issues with it.
