Great set of tongs for cooking with non-stick cookware. I had just bought a nice new cookware set and wanted to make sure I had some tongs with nylon heads so the new pans wouldn’t get scratched up. These have done the job perfectly. They have good grip, are plenty long enough, and I like the locking feature.

So I do have these and personally I don’t particular care if they are oxo but I think everyone needs several pairs of silicone or nylon tongs when they are cooking. These ones do have a nylon head which most others I have tried are silicone so I am more careful with these because I feel it might be a bit rougher on my pans. But that being said they do last longer because of it. My silicone ones tend to get melted or have burn marks or lose chunks over time and these do not have those issues. Others also tend to lose some of the strength when they are in the locked position, causing them to come apart while being stored. The locked component on these is quite a bit stronger and more secure so this doesn’t really happen. Durable, well made, and no pinch-points

This is not the first time I have purchased this product. I have replaced my old tongs of the same brand with the same product after they reached their end of life. These tongs are durable and will last longer than other brands. Most importantly, they don't cut you or pinch you accidentally. The silicone (or plastic?) tips do not melt in the fry pan and prevent scratching. Perfect for when you have kids that use the kitchen.

Hard Nylon heads

The purpose of using nylon tongs is to protect the coating of Teflon or Thermolon on your frypans, but this are so hard and scratchy that it defeats the purpose. Luckily I found Martha Stewart, Goodful, and kitchen Aid silicone tongs that are soft, not stiff, hard and scratchy. There are very few brands that make tongs with silicone heads.

Not what I ordered

Ordered two Good Grips Stainless Steel to replace ones with nylon/silicone ends that I'd donated to the charity shop. Those that arrived has nylon ends, not stainless steel as advertised. The nylon ends are not as fine as I need, nor do they grip as well. Was offered to return them to a store or to a secure locker, both 45 minutes away. Declined both options, and was not given the option of returning then by post. I was generously offered a refund, and advised to donate or gift the items to someone else. I did so, but still do not have the grips that I need.

OXO is the only way to go!

Tongs are a necessity in the kitchen. I think I have 4 in multiple lengths: long for grilling and extra strength and short for a little more control. I prefer OXO for their quality and regard for my comfort and safety. OXO tongs have silicone grips for keep cool handles. The 9" tongs have nylon heads making them perfect for non-stick pans.

Oxo nylongrips locking tongs is made of good quality material and the nylon tip prevent scratching on a non stick surface cookware. The only downside is the shape of the stainless steel thong that makes it easy to get food stuck in the inner side of the fold that is harder to clean.

These are solid tongs that are sturdy and don’t twist while using. The head of the tong is stiff so it securely grabs on to food. The company has excellent customer service after advising them that this new pair was chipping. They taught me that using heat boost settings in the dishwasher would have caused this. A good thing to know for our synthetic utensils.

Real Deal

Thank you BBB for carrying the true OXO brand. These tongs are wonderful and with the nylon heads, they do not scratch the pan. BTW, I was looking for this product on the big 'A' site and so many customers were complaining about knock offs labelled as this brand. Buyer beware.

Tongs

These are wonderful. Sturdy and light, and the hold is firm. Purchased these tongs because of nylon ends rather than silicone. Great for the barbecue.
