Was given those as a gift. We use it all the time. Makes opening wine bottles a breeze. Can't really save the corks for decorative piroesafterwards because ot pits a pretty big hole in the cork but that's not the job its doing anyways. Would 100% recommend.

A dust slayer!

I love this thing! Every time I use it I feel it’s my sword in a winning battle with dust - especially all the unseen kind: beneath the bed, beneath the couch, beneath the washer and dryer, the pantry fridge, the shoe nook in the mud room, and all the cubbies in our vanities and closets. Basic, average, gets the job done.

First off, I loveeee oxo products. I recently received the oxo winged corkscrew with bottle opener to review. The item is neither bad or outstanding, but just basic, no frills, gets the job done. One plus is the added bottle opener however one thing I missed was a foil cutter, not a huge deal breaker but I noticed it. So I also have another wine opener also from oxo that I cannot help but compare. I purchased the oxo stainless steel winged corkscrew a little less than a year ago, so I’ve had more experience/time with this particular wine opener when compared to the former. Again these are just minor differences and really based on personal preferences but for a few extra dollars I think the latter is a better buy. Also no problems removing corks to date with latter and I don’t anticipate any problems with the former either, I believe the corkscrew spiral is the extra same.

Broke too soon and destroyed a good bottle of wine

This is not a good product. My hands not being as strong as formerly, I need a winged cork puller and this one looked good. But it turned out to be pretty flimsy and broke, literally, on about the eighth use. Something snapped inside and the corkscrew mechanism and cork went down into the bottle, spilling some of the wine and ruining the rest. It's funny now -- especially the visual -- as no one has yet been able to remove this thing from the bottle. (I have been waiting during whole SIP to return it). But at the time it was pretty annoying.

Excellent corkscrew. Old one finally wore out and was replaced without charge with an even better one. Great service from OXO.

Grabs all those dust bunnies!

I wasn’t sure this product was it said it was, but it is! It reaches to the back under my appliances to get all the bits that dropped and rolled under them, and the dust bunnies hiding there. Definitely recommend!

Great Corkscrew!

This corkscrew is great! It feels very comfortable to use, and the little notches that hold the bottle in place are a game changer. They grip the bottle while you are trying to get the screw in place, so no more worrying about the bottle tipping over or sliding out from under the corkscrew. The wing arms are very smooth and and easy to push down.The only con (if you could really call it a con) is that you have to make sure the screw is in the middle on the cork before you start pushing it in. It doesn't change my opinion of the product, it's just something to be cognizant of.This is a great corkscrew, it is not cheap feeling like others I have used in the past. I hope we are able to use it for years!

Love it, except...

The shape of this duster is perfect, I was able to get to areas that were impossible to clean before I had this. It is too bad that the red dusting-strings detach and shed at an impressive rate, including in those areas I can't reach in order to clean them up. I imagine washing the duster will remove loads more.

Very good corkscrew

I’ve been using a waiter type corkscrew and I can’t tell you how many corks I’ve broken off, not to mention the weird contortions I go through to get leverage to pull the cork out. Well, this winged corkscrew works like a charm! Just screw it in, the wings come up, push down on the wings, and Voila! The cork pops right out — and in one piece no less. My only quibble is that the screw part is a little wobbly so you have to make sure it is set in the middle of the cork before you start applying pressure. But that’s easy to get used to doing and this is still a very good product.

Wine Wednesday Approved!

When it comes to wine, I want the good stuff without all the fluff and the corkscrew stands up to that challenge. I have a few other fancier wine openers, but this more traditional corkscrew has become my go to. It works flawlessly, without leaving any of those nasty little corkscrew bits floating in the bottle (which is the worst). It's super easy to get the cork off the corkscrew once the bottle has been opened, which is my biggest complaint about the fancier openers I have. And I love that the corkscrew also has a bottle opener on it - the fewer tools I need for cocktail hour, the better! Would 10/10 recommend this corkscrew!
