This thing is awesome and incredibly sharp. I sliced a nice sized chunk of the end of my thumb off the first time I used it. Wish I wouldn't have been at the thickest setting. The potatoes sliced really well too! Remember to use the attachment to hold whatever you're slicing so you don't have to listen to your girlfriend say "I told you so" for the next week or two. Hurts worse than the chunk of flesh missing from my hand.

Bought this to shred cabbage for fermenting and it's perfect. One small issue is that the grabber doesn't really hold on to the item you are slicing so will definitely be buying some cut-resistant gloves. Also used it to slice vegetables for a salad. Perfect! Love that it has 3 different slicing thickness options and the best part is that it is so easy to clean.

Super easy to use and clean. 💯 I was nervous about purchasing this without a protective glove (I still think using any mandoline is safer with one on), but I did fine without it. In my limited experience so far, where I have only sliced potatoes for making two 6 qt slow-cookers of scalloped potatoes, the veggie gripper really could not be used until the potato was a smaller "height" bcz the prongs are quite shallow and do not grip a larger potato with any security. However, once the potato had been "mandolined" to a smaller size, I could then use the gripper with greater success. Another great feature of this product was the 3 thickness settings which are easy to alter. Not to mention the fact that this item, at Target was about $15 less than Amazon. Love this item - this cut my food prep time in half!!! Didn’t know what I was missing but this is another fabulous oxo product. They never disappoint. Easy to use and clean and small so it doesn’t take much space in the cabinet. I cut veggies potato’s for homemade chips and tiny celery pieces for salad or tuna casserole and it only took about 10 minutes.
I wanted this for very fine slices but despite the first 3 slices coming through perfectly, it went downhill from there.As a previous reviewer stated, the slices come through at the setting on one side and then became thinner at the back. So instead of getting even slices these were slanted slices which then would not cook evenly.On top of that, there are various nooks & crannies that you can't get to when washing, so it's impossible to clean fully.Avoid this one.
So dangerous! I cut my finger twice using this and they were deep cuts. Idk I’m a little clumsy in the kitchen so definitely would not recommend for beginner cooks. The bigger one from this brand is so much safer
I haven’t stopped using it. Its slices easily but I pick up the slices and run through again and then it had chopped as well. I’ve used for making salads, soups, fruit puddings etc. Easy to clean too. Just run under the tap. I’m really pleased with it.
Had my girl go out and pick this up so I could make Oklahoma onion smash burgers and for the price it works surprisingly well. Sliced up a whole onion very finely, enough to cover 6 pattie's with. It even impressed my girls brother who thought it would be a waste of money.
I used this to slice cooked beetroot & onions ready to pickle. I would say it was a great success. My only reservation is that the thickness leaver is very stiff to move & could if one slipped cause a nasty injury. So I just left it where it was. I dont think the adjustment is great?
