90% perfect for the job

I use an electric crepe pan for things like quesadillas, grilled sandwiches and pancakes. This is perfect for those - no more using two fish slices / spatulas any more to turn things. It's flexible when I press down on it, but I don't use it that way. It's something you notice when you shake it - it sort of wobbles up and down. I suspect the pancake or whatever would fly off when it's not in contact with the cooking surface. The wobble doesn't get in the way, though. Where it is less useful is in a fry pan or sauté pan with a relatively small bottom. At its widest, it's 15.5 cm (6 inches). Which leads me to the last point. Parked in my utensil holder it makes the normal sized version look tiny. It's so large it makes me laugh every time I look at it. Beware - handle not silicone!

Really liked the idea of this spatula and it works really well for turning all sorts. But beware! The black section of the handle is plastic not silicone. I rested the spatula on the frying pan for a few seconds and the handle section started to melt and stick plastic to the edge of my frying pan. Not too serious as it cleaned off when the pan was washed. Nevertheless and inconvenience - why not make the handle section of silicone too so that this cannot happen. Therefore only two stars from me!

Brilliant for pancakes and large omelettes

My only criticism of this item is that when you wash it in the dishwasher or with washing up liquid the silicon takes on the scent of the cleaning product. I guess it might be good to wash it without using a product but I'm quite lazy. This is the second one I've bought. The first one lasted nine years before the top fell off. I think that's pretty good going given that we put it in the dishwasher and used it several times a week. Definitely recommended if you need a large spatula

Eggstraordinary utensil

This is great for lifting out fried eggs without popping them and scraping the pan. Wish I'd found it ages ago. Really good size as much bigger than normal. So glad I found this. Well worth buying.

Ergonomically designed and functional

Easy to flip pancakes and large omelettes (15cm width at widest point and completely flat). I also find the shorter handle (18cm) easier to manoeuvre. A bit restricting for 20cm frying-pan but still works. Easy to clean.

Not just for pancakes!

Obviously, this utensil has a variety of uses. Please note that it really is generously-sized so check with in-store pans before purchasing. Only one colour option available; I would have preferred white, consequently, it will live in the drawer. This tool is useful for flipping and transferring pancakes, omelet, tortilla or any large hot or cold foodstuffs. It's also handy for turning roasted vegetables, etc. in the oven. I'm sure you will find many different uses for this item, which makes it a helpful addition to your utensil collection.

Works Great! It is well made and has a good size surface area for flipping omelets, quesadillas and even the smaller items. The silicone is sturdy yet flexible. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect size for crepes and omelettes
25 April 2021

I find it so much easier to flip large pancakes and omelettes with this. They do need to be ready to turn, but if theyre cooked enough to slide around the pan (/ flip in the air) then they this turns them consistently without breaking - and without the risk of dropping. The edge is also small and smooth enough to run around the sides of the pan after first putting the mix in to stop it catching. Too big to do much else with in terms of general cooking, but if you make enough pancakes to justify their own tool this is perfect for the job.

So so worth it!

Usually only buy things that can be used for lots of things. However, this is awesome for pancakes and quesadillas, pressing down on steak for a great crust, & picking up fried eggs out of the frying pan without the yolk breaking & it drains the excess oil.

Wide Pancake turner
15 April 2023

I purchased this for pancakes and have also used it fro fried eggs, sauté potatoes and bacon. I enjoy using this product as it is easy to clean and that it is wide. When I had it through click and collect they had damaged the corner of the pancake and had bent the corner of the turner as was amazed that it could get damaged. However I use as an opportunity with this bent corner to ease in lifting whatever food I have in the pan.
