One of our cats has some dental issues, and our vet recommended a water additive. I added this to their water, and a few hours later one of our cats vomited--this was the first time he's vomited in the six months we've had him, so it was significant. The only change was the water additive, so I dumped out the water, washed the bowl and refilled it with fresh water (without the additive). Our other cat vomited shortly after, and both cats had diarrhea for three to five days. Both cats also didn't eat well for several days, refusing meals altogether at times. It was bad enough that I was almost ready to take them into the vet. It was almost a week until they were both back to normal--all from one single use of this water additive! Terrible product, do not recommend.

I have 2 dogs, one is a little older and has never let me brush his teeth, and one is a puppy. My older dog has had dental extractions and used to always have problems with his breath no matter what dental chew products we tried. One of my cats has serious health issues. Because of that, the vet has been reluctant to put her under anesthesia. A few months ago, we were suspecting she had a bad tooth, I I agreed to the risk of having her undergo general anesthesia. It had been six years since she'd had a dental. We were all shocked that she had no cavities at all. Except for needing a good cleaning, her teeth were perfect & x-rays showed no problems at all.On her dental six years ago she had to have three extractions for resorptive lesions. I've been concerned that she may be having continued problems with these lesions since they tend to recur. I can't claim that the Oxyfresh prevented them, but I definitely believe it prevented regular cavities.

Added one cap to my cat’s water fountain and three days later I woke up to him having diarrhea and vomiting multiple times. He was extremely lethargic and could barely move. I took him to vet that day and they said it was probably this water additive- as it was the only change to his routine. $150 later they gave him a shot and sent me home with medication. He is looking slightly better day two, but it’s so sad to think it was because of something I gave him. PLEASE read these one star reviews and don’t chance this product. I can’t image what would have happened if we would have continued. Hoping this did not cause any permanent damage. CHEWY REMOVE THIS PRODUCT !!!

Had the smaller bottle for about 3 months. Ran out and didn’t repurchase because I wasn’t sure it was working. IT WAS, haha. Can definitely tell these guys don’t have this in their water anymore. Still have to brush dog’s teeth, but this absolutely works on her breath. She shares water bowls with two cats and none of them had any tummy upset and this works great on all of their breath. Never had an issue with cloudy water and they really can’t tell it is in there, and I have two of the pickiest cats on the planet.

I wanted to avoid bringing him in for fluids (vet bills = $$$), so I took off of work and gave him tap water through a syringe multiple times throughout that first afternoon.He seemed slightly better by the evening - I was able to get him to eat half a slice of American cheese. But he was acting odd still (eyes looked cloudy and he wasn't able to find the cheese if it dropped onto the floor). Did some eyes tests and it seemed like his vision hadn't gone completely. By the following morning, I got some purrs out of him so he was improving. Syringe fed him tap water a few times throughout that day. By the end of the second day, I had him back to normal.I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. It clearly has some bad ingredients that can cause real harm to some cats. I thought we'd lose our dear cat forever, and I'd have to live with the guilt of being the one that basically poisoned him.
